The wiseman's song of the black stallion

Once way back in the times of the wild and free horses that roamed the land. There lived a wise a stallion, He was cherished by all humans, animals and all living things. One day a lonesome owl named Dreama came to seek the advice of the wise ole stallion named Edward. Dreama was seeking out the wise Edward whom was knowledgable beyond his time.

Dreama flew over the river side and no sign of Edward. She flew over the waysided forest towards the flowery fields where all horses roamed. She searched and searched till she came across a meadow not like any meadow she ever seen before. She flew down and saw a young deer and his family in the meadow and she asked if they had seen the amazing wiseman.

The young deer named fiory said to the owl listen for the song of the wiseman. The song Dreama said and the deer said yes its mellow and sweet. Its powerful and wise and strong with deep emotion. Dreama was very stunned that a horse of his background could sing such wise sounds with no words.

The mother deer said to the young owl, the wisest words are the ones left unspoken. Dreama turned and listened carefully for days she stayed in the near by trees listening for the song of the wiseman himself. She finally had the day when the wise horse made his song known. Dreama listened no words but very powerful sounds came through the song and those sounds gave dreama a vision and in the vision came the answer she was searching for all along.

When Dreama opened up her eyes standing in front of her was the wiseman himself. He looked at Dreama and he said in a deep bassy voice I hear you been looking for me. I said yes, he asked her did you hear my song. I said yes and it was beautiful the sounds gave me visions and provided the answers I seeked.

He advised your growing into your wise place. You are to replace me and be the wise owl that you are to be. Dreama said why would I replace you, your shoes are so big to fill and I not sure I can do it. He laughed and said you doubt yourself and you have need to the answers are there with in your soul.

Dreama looked deep in the eyes of the wiseman and said I will honor you oh wise one. Thank you for trusting me Edward. Dreama held Edwards leg and nesttled her head into his chest as he lay there dying, she watched and spoke a wise song to him and as he took his last breathe he told her in his own way thank you.

As Dreama settled into her role as the wise ole owl that she was becoming, she felt sad and lost without Edward the wiseman of words. Many a night went by and not a thought in Dreama's mind was not about Edward. How could he go so soon. How could she be the choosen one to take his place. She felt she was not strong enough like him, not capable of making wise words come to life like he did. She was not believeing in her self.

One night while Dreama lay in her burrow in the tree she started to drift away with her thoughts. She started to realize that while she thought she was dreaming Edward had entered her mind. He began to show her how she could fill his shoes. Dreama realized she could her meadow friends and forest friends and others from all over. She still missed him but she could survive knowing he was so strong that he would help her out. She felt ready to take on her new duty. The animals of the forest were confident in Dreama cause Edward never would have gave up if he knew the one taking his place was not up to par. The animals accepted Dreama as the new wiseman of the animals and forest.

She swore from that moment on that she would fill Edwards shoes as best she could if not better. She finally achieved it the day she became the wiseman and with that she sang his song with his powerful words and the animals around the world heard the song and smiled with confidence and peace in there hearts. The end
