Oh, to take flight

The Wingless Snowbird

The leaves will all take flight and flutter to the earth. Vibrancy will fade to muted grey, the silent hush to dampen sun-soaked days. The bears will hide, the roses will die, as the grass gives way to decay. The snowbirds will fly away, on to better things.

But here, here I will be, restless in my reverie.
