The War of Water and Fire and the Transformation of Heaven and Earth
Water Fire Duel: The Collapse and Reconstruction of Order in Mythology

Since Pangu created the world and N ü wa created humans, the order between heaven and earth was initially established, and the gods each performed their duties. However, the jealousy and dissatisfaction in the hearts of the Water God Gonggong grew stronger and stronger. He had long coveted the power of the Fire God Zhurong to control light and warmth, and finally couldn't hold back. He led his troops of shrimp and crab to launch a grand attack on the Fire God.
At the beginning of the battle, when Gonggong gave the order, Xiangliu and Floating immediately took action. Xiangliu, that giant monster with nine snake bodies, each head can spew surging floods; Floating is characterized by a floating body, shuttling between rivers, lakes, and seas. They worked together to pull up all the water from the Three Rivers and Five Seas. In an instant, the turbid waves in the sky hung upside down like the Milky Way, with black waves surging and blocking the sky. The pure white clouds were instantly swallowed up, and the divine fire ignited by Zhurong gradually dimmed in this towering flood.
But is Fire God Zhurong someone who easily surrenders? He wielded the blazing dragon all over his body and faced it with great majesty. When the flood receded, he muttered words and called for the help of the Wind God. A fierce wind howled up, carrying flames. Fire borrowed the wind's momentum, and the wind aided its power. The fiery tongue of fire, like a crimson dragon, bared its teeth and claws, charged straight towards the Communist camp. The water army of the Communist Party attempted to attract another flood to resist, but the water flowed thousands of miles and it was difficult to stop the fierce fire. Wherever the flames went, the shrimp and crab generals of the Communist Party screamed in agony, and the Communist Party himself was also burned to the bone. The team immediately became chaotic, swaying in all directions, and could only fight and retreat.
Zhurong pursued the victory and drove straight towards the Water Palace of the Communist Party. Gonggong had no choice but to bravely face the enemy again, but at this time his morale was already in disarray and low. After a fierce battle, the Fire God Zhurong, representing brightness, achieved a complete victory. Floating eyes watched helplessly as the defeat was settled, both angry and anxious, living and dying with vitality; Xiangliu saw the situation was not good and quickly turned into a wisp of green smoke, fleeing away. At this moment, Gonggong was already exhausted, looking at the defeated soldiers in front of him, filled with unwillingness and despair, and had to flee to the end of the sky in embarrassment.
Gonggong ran wildly all the way, I don't know how long it took, and finally arrived at the foot of Buzhou Mountain. He turned around and saw that Zhu Rong's pursuers were already within reach. Gonggong felt both ashamed and angry in his heart, ashamed of his disastrous defeat and angry at the injustice of fate. He let out a long howl in the sky, a hint of determination flashing in his eyes, and then used all his strength to charge towards the mountainside. With a loud bang, the Bu Zhou Mountain that supported the sky was actually knocked over by him.
In an instant, half of the sky collapsed with a loud bang, revealing a huge, rocky hole. The water of Tianhe poured down from the cave, like ten thousand galloping horses, and the flood instantly submerged the earth. Fields, villages, and mountains have all been engulfed by floods, causing people to be displaced and crying uncontrollably. The disaster caused by the conflict between water and fire plunged the world into endless darkness and despair. And this is the origin of the famous allusion of 'incompatible water and fire'.
Fortunately, the great N ü wa could not bear to see the people suffer. She traveled around, collected colorful stones, and set up furnaces on Kunlun Mountain to refine them day and night. Finally, N ü wa filled the hole in the sky with refined five colored stones, severed the four legs of the divine turtle to support the sky, and stopped the flood with reed ash. From then on, the earth returned to peace and the world regained vitality once again.
