The Vengeful Girl: A Tale of Horror and Suspense

An Otherworldly Encounter That Will Leave You Terrified

By Mustaqeem QaziPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Willow Creek. Sarah had just finished reading her book when the power went out, leaving her in complete darkness. She grabbed a flashlight and lit a candle, hoping that the power would come back on soon.

As the storm raged outside, Sarah started to feel uneasy. There was something about the way the wind howled and the rain pounded against the windows that made her skin crawl. She tried to shake it off, telling herself that it was just the storm.

But then she heard a sound. It was a faint knocking at the door. Sarah froze. Who could be knocking at her door in the middle of a storm like this?

She cautiously approached the door and peered through the peephole. There was no one there. She turned back to the living room, feeling relieved that it was probably just a branch hitting the door.

But then she heard it again. The knocking was louder this time, and more insistent. Sarah's heart raced as she considered her options. Should she open the door? Or should she wait until morning?

Just as she was about to turn away, she heard a faint whisper. "Let me in."

Sarah's heart skipped a beat. That voice. It was so familiar. But she couldn't place it. She hesitated, unsure of what to do. But the voice kept pleading. "Please, can I come in?"

She took a deep breath and opened the door.

Standing before her was a young girl, no older than 10. She was drenched from head to toe and shivering. "Please, can I come in? I'm so cold."

Sarah hesitated for a moment, but then the girl's pleading eyes convinced her. She stepped aside and let the girl in.

As soon as the girl stepped into the cottage, Sarah felt a wave of unease wash over her. Something was off about this girl. Her clothes were soaked, but her hair was completely dry. And her eyes. They were so dark and piercing, like she was staring straight into Sarah's soul.

Sarah offered the girl a blanket and a cup of hot cocoa. She was hesitant to ask the girl any questions, but she couldn't resist. "What are you doing out in this storm?" she asked.

The girl shrugged. "I was playing outside and got caught in the rain. I don't have anywhere to go."

Sarah's heart went out to the girl. She couldn't bear the thought of leaving her out in the storm. But she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

As they sat in silence for a few minutes, the only sound being the storm outside, Sarah tried to shake off her unease. But then the girl looked up at her with an eerie smile. "Thank you for letting me in. Now I can finally get my revenge."

Sarah's heart sank as she realized her mistake. This girl was not who she appeared to be. She tried to run, but the girl was too fast. She grabbed Sarah by the hair and dragged her across the room.

The girl's eyes glowed with an otherworldly light as she whispered in Sarah's ear. "You shouldn't have let me in. Now you'll never leave."

Sarah fought with all her might, but the girl was too strong. She could feel her grip tightening around her throat. She was running out of air.

And then, suddenly, the girl was gone. Sarah collapsed on the floor, gasping for breath. She looked around the room, but the girl was nowhere to be found.

The next morning, the townspeople of Willow Creek were shocked to find Sarah's cottage empty. There was no sign of a struggle
