The Toronto Maple Leafs Story

Loop, Run and Repeat...

By Kendall Defoe Published 3 years ago 1 min read
Another sad story...

Well, if we just get the right guys and everyone has their heads together and we spend a little more money (what cap?) on the forward line and the defense comes together and our fans come on the road with us (support is key and we need to show what we can do), so we can have better goal-tending and the GM listens to the coach who listens to the players and we break up the forward line and defense and we do great in the regular season oh we will get them next season if we...

A plan?

One of my favorite Toronto Maple Leaf memes of all time. (Works for the Minnesota Vikings, too. I used to think it would not be until I quit watching they'd win a Super Bowl. Didn't work. I think they're waiting for me to die.)

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I especially like the pallbearers idea; I'm gonna have to suggest that to the endless hordes of apparently terminally gullible Loafs fans around here. Not a one of them seems able to work out the fact that if it wasn't for the Leafs and their stupid, pointless monopoly in Southern Ontario (which also allows them to be eternally mediocre and still sell out every game to corporate seat holders who then proceed to write-off the expenses, this reducing their tax burden and schluffing more taxes onto the regular folks) there would be at least two more teams in this (once) largest hockey market in the world. With more teams people would be able to actually take their kids to a hockey game once in a while and the sport would grow here instead of festering and bleeding off fans to much slower sports like baseball and soccer. The idiocy thrives... Sorry Kendall, rant over.
