THE TIMEKEEPER'S SECRET

PART 1

By alex dormidoPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

There was a timekeeper who lived in a small village nestled in the heart of the forest. He was known throughout the land for his wisdom and his ability to keep time flowing smoothly. He would travel from town to town, adjusting clocks and hourglasses, ensuring that everyone stayed on schedule.

One day, a young woman came to see him. She was a weaver, and she had a problem. She had been working on a tapestry for weeks, but she couldn't seem to get it right. Every time she tried to weave, the threads would become tangled and twisted, and the pattern would fall apart.

The timekeeper listened carefully as the weaver explained her troubles. And then, he smiled.

"I think I can help you," he said.

He led her to a clearing in the forest, where a tall tree stood, its branches stretching up to the sky. At the base of the tree, there was a small door, barely visible against the bark.

"This is the timekeeper's tree," he explained. "Inside, there is a chamber where time flows differently than in the outside world. It's a place of magic and wonder, where anything is possible."

The weaver looked at him skeptically. "But how will that help me with my tapestry?"

The timekeeper smiled again. "You'll see," he said.

He opened the door and led the weaver inside. They descended a spiral staircase, the walls lined with glowing crystals that lit their way. At the bottom of the stairs, they came to a circular room, where a giant hourglass stood in the center.

"This is the heart of the timekeeper's tree," he said. "And this is where we'll find the answer to your problem."

He turned the hourglass over, and the sand began to flow in reverse. The weaver watched in amazement as the threads of her tapestry untangled themselves and rewove themselves into the correct pattern.

But then, something strange happened. The timekeeper began to tremble, his face turning pale. The sand in the hourglass began to flow faster and faster, and the crystals on the walls began to flicker and dim.

"We have to leave," the timekeeper said urgently. "Now."

He led the weaver back up the stairs, but when they emerged from the tree, everything had changed. The sky was dark, and the trees were withered and dead. The village was gone, replaced by a desolate wasteland.

"What happened?" the weaver asked, panic rising in her chest.

The timekeeper looked at her gravely. "Something has gone wrong," he said. "The timekeeper's tree has been corrupted, and time itself is in danger."

He explained to her that the timekeeper's tree was the source of time for the entire world. It was a sacred place, guarded by powerful magic, and its corruption threatened to destroy everything.

"We have to go back," the weaver said. "We have to fix it."

The timekeeper nodded. "But it won't be easy," he warned. "The timekeeper's tree is guarded by powerful creatures, and the corruption has made them even more dangerous. We'll have to fight our way through."

And so, they set out on their quest, traveling across the barren wasteland in search of the timekeeper's tree. They fought their way through hordes of monsters, facing danger and death at every turn.

Finally, they reached the tree. It was surrounded by a swarm of creatures, their eyes glowing with malevolence. The timekeeper and the weaver drew their weapons and charged in.

The battle was fierce , will the time keeper and the weaver win against those freak creatures and fix the past mistakes or the destruction prevails in the entire world?
