The teddy that talked back

The bond between Mim and Teddy grew even closer over the following few days. Every night, when Mim fell asleep, Teddy would take her to new realms of imagination. Sometimes they would ride on flying carpets, drift on clouds like rafts, and other times they would dive deep into the ocean to find lost treasures. With Teddy, Mim had many adventures in her young life. "Tonight, we're going to a place where rainbows play," Teddy told Mim one night. Mim was very excited. Riding on Teddy's back, they flew into the sky. When they got to the cloud kingdom, they realized that a rainbow fair was actually going on. The sky shimmered with lights of different colors, and strange creatures walked on the rainbow bridges.

There, Mim befriended a little winged horse. The horse's name was Pegasus. They were taken to the golden palace at the end of the rainbow by Pegasus. An elderly queen lived in the palace. The queen gave Mim and Teddy a magic mirror and told them many stories. The queen said that they could go wherever they wanted to through this mirror. Teddy and Mim brought the magical mirror back to their room. Mim placed the mirror on her table. The next morning, when Mim woke up, she saw Teddy sitting quietly as before. Mim had almost forgotten about their nightly adventures.

However, when Mim went to bed at night, Teddy resumed his conversation, asking, "So Mim, where to tonight?" Mim chuckled. She realized that all of their nocturnal outings were real and not just dreams. "Tonight, we'll go back to the golden palace to see the queen," she told Teddy as she embraced him. Teddy said, "Then let's go!" as he looked into the magical mirror. And in an instant, Mim and Teddy were lost in a new mysterious world again. Their nightly adventures continued, filling their little world with new wonders and joy every day.
