I drove up on it in the dead of a cold winter's night. My, what a ghastly sight it was!
At first, it seemed a normal deer; maybe just a little thin. But when it lifted its head to look at me, I could tell there was something off.
The eyes seemed... too far forward, and fixed upon me in a manner similar to that of a predator.
It was then I noticed the strange teeth of the beast. I have seen the rare deer with sharp teeth before, but this one...
This was a different beast altogether.
It smiled.
About the Creator
Megan Baker (Left Vocal in 2023)
A fun spin on her last name, Baker enjoyed creating "Baker's Dozen" lists for various topics! She also wrote candidly about her mental health & a LOT of fiction. Discontinued writing on Vocal in 2023 as Vocal is a fruitless venture.
