Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Regardless of weather or not that is true we will soon find ourselves in that vacuum of space. You see here on earth is incredibly overpopulated to the point that there is no more breathing room. The advancements in medical technology now allow a human being to live up to 300 years old. This of course caused an overpopulation problem.

We are about to send off the first ship to occupy and check out another planet. Where people will live on board for many generations.

The name of the planet is Kepler-186 F its an exact replica of the planet we call earth only its 10 percent larger and it is barren. With the planet earth running out of room and other resources this would be the perfect opportunity to expand and finally get some room to live and breathe and be free like human beings were meant to be.

We humans have long cleaned up our act literally. We as humans can now power our overcrowded apartment buildings with garbage so there is no more need for dumps. So we wont have to worry about destroying the new planet plus Kepler-186F is 10 percent larger than the earth we now call home. And had 10 percent more resources.

I stare in disbelief as the ship is preparing to take off my hopes are that in the future enough people will go to this new planet that we finally get to breathe. Of course we wont get to know for almost 2 full lifetimes because the new planet is 500 light years away and just to travel one light year takes our fastest human rocket 5 years to travel 1 light year. Which is 6 trillion miles. And this technology is top of the line unprecedented technology that can top speeds of 80 thousand miles an hour once in space. but only in race for your life mode. Cruising speed is 50 thousand MPH.

My sons grandchildren will be alive although they wont hear about the arrival of humans on the new planet simply because it takes 10 years to send and receive messages as satellite signal can only go so fast.

weather or not humans can survive on this new planet we wont know for about 15 more years after that because takes a while to plant crops and set up the new planet and send and receive the message as to weather or not its safe. More than likely my sons grand children's children will find this out.

I cant believe I am getting to see this historic event And I’m only 20 years old.

I cant believe I’m looking at this thing up close and personal before the launch. I grow nervous as I see a pregnant woman board the ship. I cant help but to think how that baby's grandchildren will die of old age just as they reach their destination. And how many generations of humans will come to call this ship home. As well as wonder in the back of my mind if they will over populate the ship like they did the earth? Do they even have enough supplies for the entire journey? Will this be another major tom type incident? Where do they store the supplies? So many questions. So much can happen in the span of 700 years. Really scary and really cool as well to think about. The possibilities are literally endless.

The countdown begins 2 minutes to launch and everyone aboard the ship will be leaving the earth. And my anxiety begins to act up with all these things crossing my mind as the clock counts down. I come back to. And the clock is now 90 seconds to launch my main hope is that this would solve the over population of earth problem. The only bad part is there are only 100 thousand people on board with over 1.5 million rooms for the population to grow on board the ship.

Only 60 seconds on the clock and I snap back to reality and watch the clock count down as I hope this works out for the better of humanity. 30 seconds left and I count down with the clock to launch as I cant believe that I am witnessing humanities greatest moment. 20 seconds left and I count down out loud with the clock as the crowd of onlookers begin to count louder as the clock approaches 10 seconds.

Now 10 seconds on the clock and the entire crowd is counting almost shouting in excitement. As the clock approaches 0. now 3 seconds on the clock and the crowd is screaming the countdown out loud. 3….2…..1…

the igniters spark loudly igniting a raging fire from the end of the rocket. Now the rocket slowly lifts off the ground going straight up into space very slowly starting off.

I start to notice the rocket gaining speed as it goes in to space. As I begin to pray for the people aboard that they have a safe and wonderful passage to the new planet.

I can only imagine the song dare you to move by switch foot playing over the loud speaker as they exit the ship on the new planet. As it begins to play in my head. And now plays over the speakers of my truck as I drive away from the most important launch in the history of mankind.
