The Psycho

Part 1

By Mystery WorldPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Lena had always been a thrill-seeker. She loved anything that got her heart racing, and scary stories were her absolute favorite. So, when she heard about the abandoned asylum just outside of town, she knew she had to check it out.

The asylum had been closed for years, but rumors swirled about the twisted experiments that had been conducted there. People said that the patients had been subjected to all sorts of horrific treatments, and that the doctors who had run the place had been just as insane as the people they were supposed to be treating.

Lena and her friends had always been curious about the asylum, but none of them had been brave enough to actually go inside. That is, until Lena dared them to join her on a midnight expedition.

The night of the expedition arrived, and Lena and her friends made their way to the crumbling building. They found a way inside and started exploring the dark and musty corridors. As they made their way deeper into the asylum, they began to feel uneasy. It was as if they were being watched by someone, or something.

Suddenly, Lena heard a sound. It was a low, guttural growl that seemed to come from deep within the building. She froze, her heart pounding in her chest. Her friends heard it too, and they all began to back away slowly.

But then they heard something else. It was a voice, soft and insidious, whispering in the darkness. "You shouldn't have come here," it hissed.

Lena and her friends turned to run, but they found that the door they had come through was now locked. They were trapped.

As they huddled together in the darkness, they heard footsteps approaching. They could hear someone or something breathing, and they knew that they were not alone.

Suddenly, the door burst open and a figure appeared in the doorway. It was a man, but he was unlike any man they had ever seen before. His eyes were wild and bloodshot, and his hair was a tangled mess. He wore a dirty white lab coat, and in his hand, he held a scalpel.

Lena and her friends screamed and tried to run, but the man was too fast. He grabbed one of them by the hair and dragged them back into the room. The others could hear their friend screaming in terror as the man began to perform unspeakable acts on them.

Lena and her friends knew that they had to escape, but they also knew that the man would not let them leave alive. They searched for a way out, but every door was locked, every window barred.

As they searched for an escape, they could hear the man's footsteps getting closer and closer. He was getting more and more frenzied, and they knew that he was coming for them.

Finally, they found a door that was slightly ajar. They pushed it open and fled into the night. They ran and ran, not stopping until they were miles away from the asylum.

It wasn't until they were safe in their own beds that they realized what they had just experienced. They had come face to face with a madman, a psycho who had somehow survived the asylum's closure and was now using it as his own twisted playground.

Lena and her friends never spoke of that night again, but the memory of the psycho haunted them for years to come. They never forgot the terror they had felt, and they never forgot the fear in their friend's screams. They knew that they had narrowly escaped with their lives, and that they had come closer to death than they ever wanted to admit.
