The Pluvilover

Rain, give her rain ("pluvia" in Latin) and let her dance in it.

We heard it before. The magic mood of a rainy day.

This girl I love can't wait for one.

She gets annoyed with nature, if the forecast doesn't call for it.

When it does rain, she wakes up earlier, sits by the window, and hits the typewriter with furious intent.

It's a beautiful sight to see. She's a pluvilover.

Yes, I just made that word up, but it suits her perfectly. From Latin "pluvia", meaning rain, that is undoubtedly her muse.

She can write under any weather condition, but the sound, smell, and feel of rain bring her to a different dimension.

Creativity pours out of every fiber of her being. She becomes a dynamo writer and her prose is patently more pungent.

She's a better author for it, but when she's done, she longs for the sun to shine again.

We are all so different, it's beautiful.

About the Creator

Rene Volpi

I'm from Italy and write every day. Being a storyteller by nature, I've entertained (and annoyed) people with my “experiments” since I was a child, showing everyone my primitive drawings, doodles, and poems. Still do! Leave me a comment! :)
