She looked across the platform and saw him, watching her, with a smile on his face. She felt a strange sense of peace as she realised no other man would be able to hurt her, ever again. She took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes, and that smile was the last thing she saw as she stepped forward, into the path of an oncoming train.
