The Perils of the Peak

A group friends decided to go on an adventure on mountain for hiking and other thrilling experiences. So they decided that it would Kirkjufell, Iceland. It's a well renowned mountain for it's beauty, view and the attractive atmosphere. So the journey began and everything was going perfectly without any issues. There was a feeling that joy, thrill and adventure among the friends and they thought that it's going to be the best thrilling memory of our friendship however what did they not knew was the hardships they are going to face at the mountain.

The tour guide that brought them to this mountain warned them that be aware there are a lot of threat on this mountain like viscous creature and also group of bandits are in specific part of the mountains always waiting for the opportunity to rob the hikers. There also a specific area of the mountain which is believed to be supernatural but they just rumors no has ever presented a concrete evidence about it. Without caring about any of these dangers the group of friends began the journey.

At the end of the first day without encountering any dangers they safe cross the first region of the mountain. They decided to set up a camp at the boundary of first and second region. Tomorrow they starting moving through the second region. While they were asleep at night they were attacked by the bandits who were from the second region of the mountain. They were asleep when the bandits came but one of the bandits stepped on a small piece of wood which wake all the friends up and then it was utter panic and chaos. The friends defended themselves with the weapons they have like knife's and nunchuks etc. However one of them was held hostage by the bandits so they have to give up everything they had like food and other surviving tools. After having everything bandits still inflicted severe injuries to the friend who was held hostage. The bandits ran away after all this.

Afterwards all the friends carried the one who was injured. The danger that was ahead of them was area where there were dangerous creatures. So as they entered the area and navigated through the area the half of the day passed and as the sun set down the fog started to thicken and the line of sight was getting blurred. In this disadvantageous scenario they were attacked by leopards so they ran but we're slow due the injured friend they have been carrying. While running one them fell behind so all of them turned to pick him up but he told all of them to go forward without him and instantly the fog thickened. So the fallen friend disappeared.

So they all moved forward with the burden of the fallen friend. Up ahead was the area which rumored to be supernatural. So they entered the area and after thorough navigation they noticed that area was changing it domain again and again after a discrete interval of 45 min due which the group of friends was divided in two halfs. It was like a maze in that area. The groups were and there was a large number of plantation and trees covering the area between both groups. While the two groups were near they decided that when they hear footsteps they will say "crossing" that how they were navigating through the maze and final they crossed the whole maze.

Afterwards they started moving forward towards the top of the mountain. Due to high altitude those who started to have difficulty in breathing left behind. At the end only five friends were able to reach the top of the mountain.

In the end it’s all about the journey and the people accompanying you in the journey and not about the destination.
