Amy and The Enchanted Pendulum

Up up above so very high

Is where the angels gather to watch us through the wispy skies

Always there for us helping and guiding

They are always watching over us although they may be hiding

An Angel is focused and watching over a young girl called Amy

She is the new girl at school and struggling to make friends you see

Amy is quite shy and sitting all alone

And what’s worse she is rapidly failing maths and out of her comfort zone

Amy has her final test tomorrow which she is not ready for

All the studying, exams, and tests she finds rather a bore

Worried about tomorrow’s test and not performing at her best

Amy stops by the riverbank to wash her face and tears

Sobbing hard now full of woes and fears

There in the water Amy notices a glistening light

She reaches in and pulls out a glowing crystal so bright

It’s the angels enchanted Pendulum

Finding yet another worthy owner so deserving

Amy is absolutely stunned at what a wonderous sight she is seeing

The magical glowing colours so bright and revealing

Amy shuts her eyes tightly and wishes for wisdom

To be able to pass her school test with such professionalism

The illuminating pathway to the pearls of wisdom is lit

But wait, the pathway is leading her into the water…

Amy’s not a great swimmer she’s embarrassed to admit

Amy wonders through the colours of the rainbow and looks at her reflection

A stunningly beautiful mermaid she sees, what a great first impression

A blonde multicoloured mermaid before her eyes

Amy gasps in shock so utterly surprised

Jessy giggles “come on in I am your guide for the pearls you are searching for”

“Hop on Dolly and we can go and explore”

Amy is speechless and so excited she pinches herself

She wonders if it would be easier to learn from a bookshelf

“I’m not a great swimmer, I couldn’t possibly come with you…”

Jessy laughs and replies “that’s what Dolly the dolphin is here for too”

“But how can I breathe under water?”

“You’ve entered our realm now through the magical rainbow” Jessy taught her

“Oh yes of course, I forgot I walked through that!”

Amy is eager to get going to gain her wisdom to pass her test ASAP

Amy hops on Dolly who gives her a reassuring smile

“I will look after you, the ride should only be a short while”

As they all set off plunging down deep

Amy takes a long deep breath she can no longer keep

Wow, Amy has now realised she is breathing perfectly fine

Losing herself gazing into the ocean’s splendour so divine

Amy is holding on tight

And admiring Jessy’s beautiful mermaid tale so bright

A multicoloured mermaid tale glowing as she swims

Jessy reminds “don’t go too deep, we need to avoid the sea demons so grim”

Not long now, the pearls of wisdom are a very rare spell

Only the kind-hearted ones are able to open the oyster shell

That combined with using the pendulum as a key

You will then possess wisdom beyond your years to foresee

Amy unlocks the precious shell

Out rolls the pearl along with the most exquisite smell

The pearl is worth a lot if she was to sell

The demons are drawn in by such power and lurking in the shadows

“Quick no time to lose, swim fast through the golden archway” Jessy proposed

Swimming as fast as they can and being chased

The sea demons are gaining on them with such great hast

Suddenly a demon appears and fills Amy full of dread

Amy is gripping tight and feeling so scared

The demon now has a hold of Dolly, piercing through her skin with its evil claws

They are not allowed past the golden gate they are breaking the oceans laws

Luckily the gate keepers warn the demons away

Poor Dolly is injured and needs medicine urgently without delay

She cannot move now and needs to rest and lay

Amy and Jessy rush off to find a remedy or cure, but how will they pay?

It’s going to cost a hell of a lot

Money they quickly need but have not got

Amy reaches into her pocket and offers the pearl of wisdom to trade

The merfolk cannot believe their eyes, their whole year has been made

Amy would rather help save her friend in need

By giving up her pearls of wisdom gift was doing a good deed

Racing back to the golden gate with Dolly’s medicine

Dolly is no longer is pain with her friends so genuine

“I cannot believe you traded your pearls of wisdom”

Swimming up and out of the ocean’s kingdom

“Kindness and compassion are much more important to me than wisdom and intellect

How could I have lived with myself if I’d have left you with such neglect”

Amy realises she can just learn all the facts at her leisure

True kindness and love are something you cannot measure

To act in pure love no hidden agenda

To share and care is her lives Splenda

Back at the riverbank she hugs Jessy and Dolly goodbye so long farewell

What an adventure Amy is thinking of her upcoming test and trying not to dwell

Luckily for Amy the angel is watching over and feels she deserves to be rewarded

The selfless acts of kindness will certainly not go ignored, instead be awarded

As the pendulum flashes ready to move on

Ready to help the next child suddenly its gone

But wait, its being replaced with a pearl necklace

The wisdom and knowledge belong with Amy so precious

Combined with a kind heart she is now the full package

Amy is looking forward to acing her exams she can now so easily manage

Amy comes top of the class with a new inner glow that shines right through

She now has so many more friends practically forming a que

Amy is now filled with such joy and laughter

She lived happily ever after
