The Passenger

Along for the ride

By Seashell Harpspring Published about 6 hours ago 3 min read

The one unspoken rule: don't let the driver be held responsible for the crash.

Shoved into a car with them as you are only allowed to have relationships if you stay in their car and never leave. The insult looming of having to become resilient when jumping out of the car to get through being independent and those copying you choose alone and brag about being able to choose it. It is a sick mockery that is allowed to go on. These people taking from you while not asking for it and you adapting way better than most while surviving. Now there is insult to injury of those pretending they don't have people or making alone time a "silly little fun thing" to be up to after they destroyed someone's life.

But you jumped out of that car, didn't you?

Or Else this would be the fate:

As a passenger in the seat of the crazy driver who is always trying to preserve themselves and has you crashing around beside them. In most car crashes, the driver stays alive or is injured while the one next to them dies. The ride along getting all the impact and pain while the driver makes fun of them as if they asked to be gruesomely twisted within metal. Instead of feeling bad or accountable, they start telling people your ghost is haunting them while they play victim to that ghost. They even scream at the ghost to fix the situation even though they are not around anymore.

Their chaotic emotions and drama are yours to hold while you can't even function properly around them anymore because of how much tornado chaos they have created as they call you the tornado instead while they actively keep swirling doing donuts in the parking lot. Around and right around all over and over again making you sick but they won't pull over so that you can barf. They deserve to be barfed on anyways! They will find a way to punish you for that though.

Even worse with all of the reports of the crash:

Them saying the passenger "distracted the driver with their looks." As if this is an important concern after the driving swinging around at 120mph and then asking everyone to not ever mention death while they specifically paid for and signed up to be in extreme danger. They walked around the dealership pulling out the cash for the slickest car that can push to 170mph for the benefit of what? What is this driver up to that needs the amount of horsepower for a situation where it only makes sense if they are a race car driver.

Oh don't worry, they are an amateur race car driver! Of course! It all makes so much sense now. Except not really, they are just someone who pretends they have knowledge about what they don't and revs their engine so loud you can't even cover your ears to not hear it reverberating through your entire body. The victim in the crash is then deemed a threat or a danger. They are not seen for who they are even when their body is laid to rest. Don't speak ill of the dead is a phrase no longer. Society can choose instead of speak unwell of those who passed in a tragedy but have their character assassinated so that the nasty driver can live another day with a new passenger to swing around and goons to send after the one who jumped.

The only warning left at that from the one who actually jumped is GET OUT OF THAT CAR!!! Quit following that terrible rule!!!
