The notebook of the child who never existed
"The Notebook I Should Have Never Found"

I’ve always been a skeptical person, but what I experienced in 2022 still gives me chills every time I remember it.
I was helping my aunt clean a house she had bought in a somewhat secluded neighborhood. The house had been empty for over 10 years, and according to her, she was remodeling it to rent it out.
Everything was going well until I found something strange in one of the drawers on the second floor: a children’s notebook, blue, with dinosaur drawings. It was completely clean, except for a few pages at the end… filled with crayon drawings and childish handwriting.
The drawings were of a child, his mom, and what seemed to be… someone else. The other figure was always drawn with black eyes and no mouth. In one of the drawings, the child wrote: "Today we played hide and seek. Mom says not to look at him, but he always finds me."
I thought it was just a child’s imagination. But then, I noticed the notebook was dated 2021.
It seemed strange to me, considering the house had been closed since 2012. I went to ask my aunt, and when I showed her the notebook, she turned completely pale. She said, "That can’t be… that was the house where my sister lived… the one who lost her son in 2011."
I didn’t know what to say. That night, I dreamed of a boy with a blurred face whispering to me, "You found me too."
The next day, the notebook was no longer where I had left it.
