The Narlington Chronicles Vol. 1-5

Vol. 1-5

By Tony MessinaPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

The two approaching girls moved deliberately and recklessly towards the unsuspecting Crimson Guards. Bianca’s eyes glowed with an intense aura as she, expertly in one swift, fluid action, dispatched the two men without making a sound.

For an instant, Bianca felt relieved, but it was short-lived. Two more guards exploded from the front door of the butchery. Bianca managed to slip away, but Annie wasn’t so lucky. “What do we have here?” Said the battle-harden agents of doom. “You look like a fine piece of ass.”

“Let me go, you pigs!” Annie jerked her head, spitting in the face of his chubby partner. Turning towards the two Crimson Guards, Bianca fixated her deadly stare. “Release her or your life!” She said in a bold and commanding tone.

“What are you going to do about it, you pathetic albino whore! I wouldn’t fuck you with Nelson’s cock. You young lasses are no match.” Bernard said, puffing up his chest in a display of bravado.

“Tell that to your two dead comrades,” Annie said with a smartass grin, struggling to free herself. “You two smug bitches. You’d be thankful to end up like Edwin and Bartholomew. You’ll fetch a pretty coin in the prison camps; your freak of a sister will be food for the Trolls!” Bernard continued, berating the two girls.

“I think you should let my sister and I go, or you’ll not make it back to the stronghold for your afternoon fuckery.” Bianca said with her eyebrows arched and pensive gaze. “That’s laughable; you two wenches take on two of the finest Crimson Guards?” he said in a treacherous tone chuckling. Bianca’s eyes glowed a deep cool aqua blue as she began to mumble, “Bianca, what is happening? “Annie wailed. Two streams of aqua blue light radiated outwards towards the two guards from her fingertips, instantly turning them into frozen statues. “Holy shit, what the fuck was that!” she said, prying herself from their icy grip. “Can I do that?” Annie said, “You can do whatever your mind can conjuror, but chaos and the natural order have to remain balanced.” Bianca said, “What do you mean,” Annie said inquisitively. “Not now! we need to get the fuck out of here!”

Bianca could only muster a single tear, kneeling down, removing the knife pinned to her father, with a remorseful sigh, said, “Goodbye Papa, we have to go now. We’ll find whoever is responsible and make them pay with their life.” She grabbed a sword from the besmirched Crimson Guard and, with a ferocious blow, shattered the frozen remains into a thousand human meat bits.

The two orphaned girls were on the run, but from whom? “Keep Running Annie!” Bianca called out. “Where are we going?” Annie said, panting. “I know where to go! Follow me, sis.” Bianca said.

Bianca was strangely familiar with the land and knew every twist and turn for some obscure reason. “We’re going to Iston the Lonely. She’ll know what to do,” Bianca said with certainty. “How do you know her, Bianca?” Annie said with a puzzled look, “I have no idea. It’s like the memories were imprinted in my mind.” Thinking to herself,

“I am not even sure if I belong here.”

“I always knew you were special, so did papa,” Annie said, exhausted and drained. “No one ever took the time to get to know you or tried. They only judged you by your looks and were afraid you were some soul-sucking demon.” Annie said, catching her breath.

“Her cottage is just over the knoll on the other side of the Smoky Oak Forest. We’ll be there shortly.” Bianca said. Her heart raced as her life force flowed freely through her body. She mentally paused, “What am I doing here? Will I ever get back? Do I want to go back? Why do I know and feel like I have known Annie forever?” “How in the fuck did I shoot cold beams from my fingers?” They pressed forth without looking back. They were fully aware of their consequences. If ever caught, it would end in banishment to Nibriorath for eternity.
