The locked door

what's behind the door?

By alisha aliPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

At a young age my family had moved. It was a big house sat in the middle of a light green field. The house was a cream colour with a big red door.

The first time we got there my dad was really weird. He had told everyone to leave the house and he would sort everything out but he hated doing housework. We thought nothing of it and went to get some food.

We ordered takeout and soon headed back home. I entered the house first and it was huge. As you walk in the door you can see the living room which took up a lot of space. Around the living room were two stairs that led you upstairs. It was like a palace. I looked around more and saw a dark hall.

Everywhere else in the house shone except from the hall. I walked down slowly and right at the end was a door? It's shade of blue disappearing.

I put my hand on the handle unaware of what I may face.

"LISA!!" My dad looked at me in pure anger. He ran down the hall and tightened his hand around my wrist.

"What are you doing?" He was mad. His face looked like it was going to explode.

"No-nothing I wa-."

"I don't want to hear it, this hall and beyond is off boundaries. So get back to your mom and siblings NOW!"

I was stunned. In all my years of living my dad had never touched me or even raised his voice at me.

After we ate everyone went to bed. I looked at my phone and saw it was two in the morning. I got out my room and tiptoed down the stairs. I had gone to the hall and ran through the darkness. How?

The door had several locks on it. Something was in there and I need to find out.
