The First Scene: The Arrival As Eliza drove into the gravel lot of the defunct library, rain splashed against the windshield. The Morrow Archives, which had been sealed since 1963 after a fire claimed the lives of thirteen patrons during a midnight reading, was the only surviving structure in the town of Drellwood, which had vanished from most maps. They were never found by anyone. However, Eliza was a connoisseur of cursed items. an urban mythologist. the kind of person who believed that horror was most effective when it blended with reality. The original, undated manuscript of The Hollow Page was her holy grail. Legend says that the manuscript didn't have an author. Written in permanent ink, it was discovered in the library's basement. A "fracturing of self" was experienced by those who read it aloud. Madness. Disappearance. Death.

Eliza had always desired to disprove the curse. Second Scene: The Handwritten Inside, ash-like dust hung in the air. The shelves were gnawed by rot and shadow as her flashlight beam swept across them. Then she saw it: a book with no title on purposely placed pedestal in the room's center. The yellowed pages remained intact. The material used to make the cover felt...warm. She accessed it. The first sentence: The story serves as a mirror. Furthermore, it only reveals what you've tried to forget. She laughed tremblingly. Typical creep bait. Still, as she read the second line aloud, her voice faltered: You already possess it if you are reading this. The lights were blinking. Wait, the library didn't have any lights. She twisted around. Nothing.

The First Fracture, Scene 3 She continued to read. You won't be alone. You never felt alone. The silence you were aware of was a lie. Since your first breath, you've been watched. Eliza sensed a shift in the air. Even though she hadn't noticed a draft, the room was now colder. She went back to reading the book. Move around. She did so. A figure stood in her shadow. Nobody at all. A shape that looked like a dark smear in the air, like someone was taken out of a picture. As if remembering how to wear a face, its head twitched. She looked up. Gone.

She lowered her head. The following line had never existed before: It now sees you. Continue reading, or it will get closer. Her hands trembled. She carried on. Fourth Scene: The Bleed On the page, the words were writhing. Eliza Black is your name. You told your mother a lie. You let your sister die on her own. When you should have known better, you whispered "it's just a story." This page has all the information. Her voice faltered. “How…?”

She then observed the ink. No longer was it black. Red was on it. Still damp. She handled it. Warm. Sticky.

Blood.

A sound that sounded like meat being chewed underwater came from the back of the room. Slow. Hungry.

The following line appeared in a flash: You have already been consumed. Your mind is digesting itself like this. The book was thrown across the room as she screamed and threw it. It landed unhinged. The pages turned by themselves. You cannot flee. You can't get out. Now you are a part of the story. She ran quickly for the door. It had vanished. No door. Without windows. Now, only walls. Like a tomb, the library had been sealed off. Fiveth Scene: The Loop Eliza bit the wall with her claws. screamed so loudly that her throat hurt. She then veered off. She was holding the book. She hadn't grabbed it. It opened on its own. Start over. This time, it's louder. You need to scream the truth for it to hear you. "I didn't abandon her!" She yelled. "I was not at fault!" It gets its fuel from lies. It gets closer the more you deny. Her vision became hazy. Behind her, she could hear impossible-to-hear footsteps. feet exposed on rotting wood. Drip.

a whiff of air on her neck. Drip.

"Read," a whisper. Sixth Scene: The Breaking She read while crying. You believe this to be a library. It isn't. The body is it. Ribs make up the walls. Vertebrae are the shelves. Its mouth is the book. Additionally, you have just entered its throat. Even though Eliza screamed and backed away, the floor still pulsed beneath her feet. She lowered her head. It no longer resembled wood. It was supple. Also damp. She had been taken in. Her flashlight went out. Everything was taken over by darkness, except for the glowing words on the page in front of her. Now you're in the hollow. Additionally, things must be filled in. Something dragged itself from the shadows with a sickening snap. Without eyes merely a stretched smile. It dislocated its jaw further. Wider.

It gurgled in her sister's voice, "Eliza." "You left me in the water," she said. "No... I didn't try to get help—" "You left me in the water," she said. After that, her sister's face split open, revealing a slew of tiny, sharp pages. Eliza's name was written on each. The Seventh and Final Scene She was not required to read the following: You believed that reading a book wouldn't harm you. However, some tales have teeth. Some tales are ruses. Additionally, readers are yet to finish some of the stories. She was unable to move. The object got closer. The book floated by itself. There is still one page. Eliza, you are the final word. As the object lunged, she screamed, and the book slammed shut. Last Scene: The Video Later, the library was found exactly as it was in 1963. No, Eliza. merely a camera that is still recording She was spotted reading in the footage. Screaming. Next, nothing. Only the book, which was closed and lying on the floor, had a final message written in black ink: This should not be read loud. Naturally, someone did. Always do so.
