The History of the Colonization of Earth by the Zenthin

Let us discuss the history of the colonization and occupation of Earth by the Zenthin. No one really knows when in the 21st century they came but they came as friends first. They offered gifts, technology, medicine, and the humans allowed small groups of Zenthin to build settlements. Many of the gifts contained diseases that wiped out 75% of the human population. Within 20 years of their arrival humans were enslaved and forced to work on the Zenthin home world they called Tecow, which was 2% larger than Earth and 14% more massive. The Zenthin was 340 years more advanced than humans which was enough to give them a huge advantage.

Eventually large groups of Zenthin arrived on Earth with the promises of riches and most humans were no more than slaves. Humans fought back the best they could using guerrilla tactics and as Red Cloud and his band of warriors before them had many huge victories. The humans that were not enslaved lived in desserts and on reservations given to them by the Zenthin.

After 412 years the Zenthin abolished slavery and enacted their version of Jim Crow Laws on their home world to keep humans from getting jobs, marrying Zenthin, barring them from housing and such. Not all Zenthin were anti human and fought to give humans more rights and send many humans back to Earth which was under the control of the Zenthin.

The humans on Earth were not allowed to practice any of their religions, customs or speak their native languages. They had to learn Hithrum which was the universal language of the Zenthin. As you can imagine, after 400 years most humans lost their cultural heritage. The humans on Zenthin had the same restrictions.

The humans on both Earth and Tecow were taught they had no history or culture and were nothing until the Zenthin arrived and so many humans believed this. After another 160 years humans gained most of their rights on Tecow and on Earth they were living in reservations but were allowed to live in the Zenthin cities. Humans began to learn they did have their own civilizations before the Zenthin arrived which many Zenthin would vehemently oppose and mock. On Tecow, humans were often treated with violence and blamed for anything that went wrong on Tecow. On Earth, humans also experienced violence and oppression, although they were often told they were equal. Despite the fact they lost their heritage and were not allowed to work or get housing, the Zenthin would accuse humans of being filthy and lazy.

Many humans would get prominent roles in science, politics, and education. None of this mattered to many Zenthin on Earth or Tecow who saw humans as vermin. Many of them saw Earth as belonging to them and humans as just lower animals. No matter how successful or intelligent the humans showed themselves to be many Zenthin would never accept them. In fact, many tests showed humans having the same intellectual abilities as the Zenthin but many Zenthin simply ignored this and claimed humans were nothing but thugs, criminals, vermin, lazy, drunken filth.

Although, slowly over many more centuries humans and Zenthin would be equal, humans never got their planet back. They may have been given some more land back, but they never got their planet back. Most of human history was lost as well as languages, culture, religion, scientific knowledge and who knows what else.
