The Grandfather's Legacy: When the Box Opens the Gates of the Underworld

The Grandfather's Dying Wish

By Ahmed AbdeenPublished 5 months ago 3 min read

I thought my life was perfect: a 24-year-old young man, an athlete, working as an event photographer, living with my parents in our modest home. My father was a Quranic healer, and my grandfather was a scholar of jinn and supernatural beings. But I always refused to get involved in this world. I used to tell him, "I don't believe in these things, Grandpa." He would wisely reply, "This isn't your choice, Majid. It's your destiny."

On the night of my grandfather's death, I was by his side on his deathbed. He gripped my hand tightly and told me, "Under my bed, there's a box. Open it tomorrow after midnight, and beware of the shadows. You'll find books that will make you the true heir to my knowledge." I tried to object, but he closed his eyes for the last time.

Chapter 1: The Box and the Mysterious Girl

The next night, I opened the box. It was filled with old books with strange symbols and a silver ring with a black gemstone. I noticed movement in the shadows, and then the doorbell rang.

At the door stood a girl of mesmerizing beauty. Her honey-colored eyes and long black hair shimmered under the moonlight. She said, "I'm Layla, I worked with your grandfather." She entered without an invitation, as if she knew the house well.

She told me she was a jinn from the underworld and that the ring in the box was the source of my grandfather's power. "You are the heir now," she whispered in multiple voices. She glanced at the ring and smiled, "This ring binds you to our world, whether you want it or not."

I threw the ring back into the box and ran away, thinking I had escaped the nightmare.

Chapter 2: An Endless Pursuit

Layla began appearing everywhere: in the wedding photos I took, at the gym, even in my dreams. She would whisper, "You can't escape your destiny."

One night, a jinn companion appeared to me. He was handsome with sharp features and offered me everything I had ever dreamed of: wealth, women, power. He said, "You are a prince in our world, Majid. Come with me to the underworld, where there are no limits to your desires."

I accepted without hesitation.

Chapter 3: The World of Jinn: Heaven and Hell

My life turned upside down. In the underworld, I was a respected prince. Golden palaces, women who shapeshifted according to my desires, and endless feasts. But beneath the glittering surface, darkness lurked.

I witnessed vile rituals: child sacrifices, blood drinking, and demonic dances. Layla was my guide, whispering, "This is the price of power, Majid. Beauty requires blood."

I discovered I was a fierce warrior in this world. Jinn tribes fought to win my allegiance. Layla said, "Your grandfather's blood runs in your veins; that's what makes you stronger than any jinn."

Chapter 4: Battles and Bloody Rituals

I became embroiled in a war between jinn tribes. I fought with a sword of fire, clad in shadow armor. In one battle, I beheaded an enemy tribe leader, and Layla screamed, "Now you are a true king!"

But the price was steep. In one ritual, they forced me to drink the blood of an innocent child. The taste of blood still lingers in my throat, and the smell of death haunts me. Layla looked at me with pride, while I felt disgusted with myself.

Chapter 5: Awakening and Confrontation

I suddenly woke up to the sound of my father reciting the Quran. I was in my room, but my body was covered in strange scars, and the smell of blood still emanated from me.

Layla appeared before me: "You can't return; you are ours now." But this time, I refused. I grabbed the ring I had thrown into the box and put it on. "I will fight you all," I shouted.

An epic battle began between me and the forces of the underworld. I used my grandfather's spells and fought fiercely. Layla transformed into a multi-headed monster, but I defeated her with a sword of light.

In the end, I stood before the King of the Underworld. He said, "You are the true heir, but you must pay the price."

Epilogue: The Inevitable Destiny

I returned to the human world, but the underworld still haunts me. I hear Layla's whispers at night and see shadows moving in the corners of the house.

My parents think I have post-traumatic stress disorder, but I know the truth. The ring is still on my finger, and I know the battle is not over yet.

On dark nights, I hear my grandfather's voice whispering: "This is your destiny, Majid. There is no escape."
