There weren’t always dragons in the valley, before the great battle of SpireRock. Novotora was a peaceful world with vast creatures from across the cosmos. The only denizens of the world were mortal, appointed by their gods to create the first Ark world. Several worlds across the universe chosen by the gods themselves stood with the mysterious Skyguard Empire. SpireRock was a tall black spike in the center of the Valley and served as a node of Teleportation magic across all chosen worlds under the Divine council. With the Divine Council focused on the recent Demon attacks, Novotora was no longer under their watch, and the Dragons of Skyguard arrived in the world North of SpireRock Valley. Little to the mortal's knowledge, the arrival of the Dragons merely brought forth a war for survival.
Each mortal race in the world was called the chosen. The strongest and brightest of each race were brought to Novotora by the council's will. The same was to happen to the Dragons of Skyguard. Unbeknownst to the council, a war began amongst the protectors of the universe and with the deception of Demon God, Lord Devarius.
Devarius had a special hatred toward the Dragons and their Leaders. Using false promises of power and wealth, Devarius sparked the Dragon Civil War. Fearing he would be discovered for his actions against the Council, he too assisted the war effort against the Skyguard. And so the war continued for generations and led to Novotora and the Valley of SpireRock. The Skyguard was dwindling, and the Empress didn't want her daughter to fall into enemy hands. Therefore she sent them off to Novotora. The war was entirely in the lands near the valley, and the mortals had no idea of the threat nearby. But they all stood with the Skyguard, unknowing their protectors had fallen.
Within the Valley of SpireRock, amongst the vast grassy fields, The Wolf people and the Wolvar were the most loyal mortals to the Skyguard, but the Dragon War quickly got them involved. The leader of the Wolvar, King Jorgan Howleron, set up an audience with Skyguard Princesses Tyrara and Pyrexia Frost. He had hoped to regain the attention of the Divine council and stop the coming end. Jordan was a young adult Wolvar with brown fur and bright yellow eyes. He and a small group of Wolf Guards were tasked to cross the SpireRock Valley and get to Northwind, the Skyguard's last bastion within the universe. "It was easier when the Dragons weren't here. All we had to worry about we the demons." Said one guard. "Stand firm. The demons are ruthless, but the Dragons hold a severe type of power that is fueled upon both the essence of light and dark. Princess Tyrara and Pyrexia are the daughters of the Emperor and Empress of the Skyguard. They have sympathy towards mortal well-being." Jorgan said as he stood before the towering black Spire. "I just hope we're not too late. The Skyguard Ambassador, Aris, has informed me that the Skyguard is to be reformed into the FrostWing Empire under the direct control of Tyrara and her sister. Any word of our human allies? There were supposed to meet us here." Jorgan sighed as he sniffed around, checking his surroundings. Finally, he turned to a group of human warriors approaching him.
"Don't you worry, Wolf. My men are ready to serve the FrostWing Empire and carry out the council's will." Said a middle-aged human man. "Baros. It's an honor to stand at your side once more. What do you know of the FrostWing Empire and its predecessor, the Skyguard?" Jorgan asked, looking at the FrostWing Imperial banner carried by the human soldiers. "As much as you do, my old friend. They once served under the command of Lord Angrathar. But his disappearance has caused distress across the various council-controlled world. So sad this world was the last to be affected by it." Baros said as he looked up at the sky to the twin world, Notevora in the sky above. Jorgan thought deeply upon his words, "That's what I'm afraid of. You are aware of Angrathar's fall to the Darkness? Not many speak of it, but I feel it is rather important to know about." Jorgan said as he crossed his arms around his metal chest plate.
"Aye, I have heard rumors of magic locked deep within a Dragon's body, but it is too dangerous to unleash. It was the Darkness, the… Dark Fallen, they called it; that brought ruin to the Skyguard Empire. Are we so sure to trust this same power will not betray us if we assist the FrostWing Empire?" Asked Baros. "The Ambassador stated that the Dark Fallen is a threat, but the FrostWing Empire stands against it. So this war is on three fronts." Jorgan sighed.
Baros thought upon the news, "I have good faith in the FrostWing Empire. I will come to their aid, as I know they're fighting for us. What say you?" Baros asked as he outstretched his hand to the Wolvar warrior. "We came this far; no point in turning back now. We are all FrostWing Imperials." Jorgan said as he took Baros' hand and shook. So the Humans and Wolvar continued across the valley north towards the location of the FrostWing Empire and their war against the Dragunity Empire for survival.
This was the start of the war that claimed many lives, and it was the most crucial part of history, the turning point against the Evil Lord Devarius and his Demon Empire. The Wolvar held a vital role in the war, and their importance vastly increased after the standstill of the Battle of SpireRock.

I started working on the FrostWing series back in high school. My teachers were so impressed by them that they allowed me to work on them instead of the class work. The FrostWing series is still in progress. Comments and feedback is welcome
