The year is coming to an end and everything seems to be fine and schools are being released for break, the sky is blue, the sun is shining, and time moves forward but with all that in place only one owl with a scare on it’s right eye flies towards a school where there’s still the few that stay because of their actions.

“Excuse me, but I shouldn’t be here,“ said the blonde haired girl.

“That's what they all say, but you still ended up here. So how about you do your time so I… I mean you guys can get rehabilitated, survive your time, or fill whatever purpose you're here for. Uhhh just get me the hell out of here,“ as Mr. Snow whispers to himself.

“Can you at least tell us how long we will be staying? There are places were my presence is needed and I won’t be able to reach those places if I have to continue stay here. So how about we make an exception.” the blonde haired girl debated.

“Look… Louise. You're here until that clock hits 5. Unless you have a time machine you will have to wait and sit. I'm sure your great father would understand.” Mr.Snow states.

The four students in the room all sigh and Mr. Snow raises both his legs and lays them on the pile of papers, while he flips through the pages in his book. The room grows quiet and the clock clicks twice at the 10 min mark. It’s heard but soon ignored.

“Can I at least get my notes or some form of education? A little studying now can’t hurt anyone.” said the boy in glasses.

“Wait hold up! If front car can get his entertainment then let me have my phone back.” The boy with the bennie spoke.

“Front car? Why would you name a child as embarrassing and ridiculous as front car? You have my pity front car.” Louise stated in disappointment.

“No, his name is Brandon, Kite is just pointing out how Brandon’s front features make him more resemble the front of a car. You could say it’s a good use of critical thinking: kudos Kite.” Mr Snow explains.

“I see. Well I don’t know if Brandon is any better, but it is interesting to know what the other kids around the school are doing.”

“Exsqueeze me! Brandon was my fathers name, when you insult my name you insult him as well.” Brandon mentioned.

“I apologize, but you have to understand the name Brandon is just so nothing. I pity your father as well, because if someone had that name around my family then they would end up being the laughing stock of the family tree.” Louise proudly stated.

“You know what I am just gonna speed past that for now, but moving on to the other issue is that why in gym class people question me about windshield wipers.”

“Wow you know I never thought it would catch on like that. I think I might pat myself on the back for that.” Kite states with a smirk on his face.

“Ok, Mr.Snow please just let me just get my notes or something worth of education so I can let this day pass on quicker, and hopefully will never have to be surrounded by a single one of these people ever again.” A frustrated Brandon stated while cleaning his glasses.

“I suspect you're not including me in that, especially if you actually knew me.” Louise stated.

“Oh really.” Brandon stated with sarcasm.

“I don’t think people actually give a damn about you. Maybe your last name, but definitely not you. You barely even show up for school.” Kite stated leaning back in his chair.

“Well of course they might not because it could be too above them to even understand why they should, but I mean worrying about stuff might be beneath me so I wont, and I don’t go to school sometimes because I have better things to worry about.” with an anger expression on her face, but an insecure voice coming out Louise states her point with her hands crossed.

“Very well said, so Mr.Snow about that…”

“Yea no can do”

Slapping his desk and jumping out of his seat Brandon yells, “What! How come? Is it because of what that waste of space said about his phone. I am sure my classmates would agree that it is a fair response.”

“Who the hell are you calling a waste of space? Last time I checked you were the 3rd smartest kid in the school.” Kite said with a menacing grin on his face.

Slowly creating the face of rage Brandon stairs down Kite and responds, “And what are trying to Imply by speaking that into existence”

“I think you already know, but if you want me to spell it out for you. For someone who can only get 3rd but spends day in and day out studying it seems like you're a waste of time.”

Tensions flare, the two jump out their seats standing parallel to each other eyeing each other down with the face of disgust painted on their face. The room goes silent with everyone in the room waiting for the next move.

Mr.Snow moves his eyes across the room taking a good look at everyone present, he then closes his eyes and slaps his book shut. Looking over his glasses with the eyes of disappointment and rage begins to sit up straight and cross his hands under his chin, “And there it is, the reason why you all are here. While everyone is out and about living there best life, you all are here wasting my time and the time of you and your peers because there are things that maybe the other can see but you yourself can not see! A girl who seems to be moving on her time and only lives in her own world. An intelligent student who has similar problems as the last one, but who is also blinded by pride. A delinquent who can’t help but state the problems of everything else but the problem right in front of him in the mirror and last not but least Ms.Jones. Someone who is all three, but also someone who also refuses to show any form of effort or care in anything, but in reality does but doesn’t want to show it. Ms.Jones pick your head up I know you're awake.”

With everyone in the room having their eyes looked at Ms.Jones, picking her head up, removing the one earbud out her ear and with an annoyed smirk across her face she looks at Mr.Snow and responds,”That's a good observation Mr.Snow. As someone who also teaches science, that was a really good way of using the scientific method, with observations, hypotheses, and conclusions it shows that you might be a really good teacher.”

“Get to the point, tell me what you're trying to say.” Mr.snow states while picking his book up again.

“I am saying that your a good teacher, but not a great teacher or even an amazing teacher so how about you focus on doing that while we can focus on getting through this damned day and getting the hell out of here. You don’t want to be here, I don't want to be here, nobody wants to be here.” staring out the window Ms.Jones slamis her down putting the earbud back in her ear.

“Wow she basically told you, you ain’t shit. If I was you I would…”

“Shut up Kite and do…. Something. Jeez, I feel like years get put off my life every time I come here.” Mr.Snow responded.

Mr.Snow begins to put himself back in a comfortable position and begins to read. The students begin to put themselves back in their original positions. Brandon crosses his arms and stairs at the ceiling. Kite slouches in his desk and begins to draw with his finger. Louise looks down to her hand and plays with her bracelet and Ms.Jones lays her head back down and stairs out the window. The classroom stays in this quiet and calm like state for close to an hour.

While staring out the window Ms.Jones attempts to sleep, closing her eyes, but with the back and forth that broke out with Mr.Snow, his words can’t seem to leave her mind. This causes failed attempts in her naps that never last more than a few minutes. On the 4th time opening her eyes something caught her eye. An owl, a barn owl who has a scar coming across his right eye causing multiple questions rushing through her head.

Spooked by this situation Ms.Jones picked her head up to get a better analysis on what she was seeing, the owl’s eye flashes black, pitch black causing a chill to go down her spine. She tries to close her eyes and repeatedly blink took cause the sight to leave her head to no avail. She looks around to see if anyone else notices what happened but immediately goes back looking at her desk, telling herself that they wouldn't be any help in the situation. She stares at her desk, thinking of how to feel or what to do.

“What the hell. I know I didn't take anything before this and I know damn well that owls don’t do that so, am I going crazy. This can’t be real, there has to be something mental or physically wrong with me.” Ms.Jones begins to rub her head and stare at Mr.Snow, getting up out of her seat in the process, “Mr.Snow I know you have this thing of us staying in this classroom specifically, but how about you make the right decision and let me step outside to get my head straight. Plus you should know that me asking you this makes a big difference, because if you can actually see right through me then you would know that I am actually concerned about something. So how… about… Mr.Snow?” Ms.Jones noticed something off. She continues to stare at Mr.Snow soon confirming her suspicion.

“Weren't you going to say something?” Louise questioned.

“Yea I was curious to hear the B.S excuse that would’ve come out your mouth” Kite stated.

“Haven’t any of you noticed Mr.Snow hasn't moved once. He didn’t turn any pages, he hasn't snapped back at me, he hasn’t even looked this way. It’s like he froze.” They all stare at Mr.Snow and all catch on to what Ms.Jones was saying.

“O my god he isn’t moving. Mr.Snow, Mr.Snow!” Brandon immediately gets himself out of his seats to go over and check on Mr.Snow condition. He begins to attempt to shake Mr.Snow out of place but it ends in complete failure,”What the? He feels so stiff, it’s like he’s a human mannequin.”

In a frightful voice Louise responds, “What is that supposed to mean? What did he freeze in time?”

“I…don’t know. Maybe?” Brandon responds.

“What! I demand you don’t make jokes like that…please don’t play with my sanity like this.”

With an unsteady finger pointing out the window Kite speaks “Hold up. Do any of you guys see what's going on outside?” With everyone's gaze turning to the window everyone's eyes and mouths open wide and the only thought that goes past their head is, “What the hell.”

The sky turns red, the moon is out, and time stops. Nothing is right in this reality: the birds in the sky are stuck in place, the clouds move backwards, and the sun is no longer in the sky, but the light of the sun still remains. The only thing that stayed the same was the owl. With his eyes now permanently black it stares into the class looking at all the students at once.

Turning her head straight to the door, in a worried voice,“I think we should leave. Now!”

“Well, you don’t have to tell me twice.” Kite stated.

“Wait! We can’t just leave Mr.Snow here. Do we even know what will happen to him, we don’t even know if he’s okay!” A shocked Brandon stated.

“Are you crazy! Clearly there is something wrong….everywhere. And us just sitting here isn’t going to help anyone.” Ms.Jones frustratingly stated.

“I strongly agree” Louise stated.

“But”

“Come on frames, it’s time to go.” Brandon stated.

The group got up and moved out of the room to get their heads straight and think about what to do next, while leaving Mr.Snow behind.

While out the room Louise leans to a wall and falls straight to the floor,”I don’t understand. What’s going on? Why, how, when! It’s like I am in a living dream that I can’t seem to ever wake up in or maybe it’s like I am in a jail in my mind that I can never get out…oh wait that’s the same thing. LOL. I think my head is spinning.” With fear being shown deep in her eyes Lousie stated her thoughts out loud.

“What don’t tell me we're going to have to leave you too” A concerned Kite stated.

“Exsqueeze me but you can’t just say that. Or for the matter of fact even think that. She’s clearly shocked by the whole situation going on right now. Why can’t for once you have a brain or at minimum a heart” Brandon states.

“Well I am sorry! Just like her I can’t even think right now, I don’t know what to think. With all the weird crap that’s going on right now, what is there to think, it was just the first thought that came to my mind.” Balling up a fist Kite throws a punch at a looker, causing a loud sound to echo throughout the hallway,”I feel so useless! What do I do to stop this?”

Giving off a sarcastic look on her face Louise responds,“Really, you feel useless? Have you seen what I have been doing, Nothing! I just been sitting and pouting the whole time while everyone else seemed to be doing something.”

“All of you three stop arguing. Look down there, there’s something off” Ms.jones stated.

They move forward down through the red twisted hallway with the black and white panels on the floor. They get to the end and see a door, 5 doors, with a drawing of a brain on the roof of the area, and a clock above the doors.

“Can we go back maybe there’s another way” Louise states.

“ I don’t think we might have to go forward, maybe?” Ms.Jones states.

“Your going to based our decision on a maybe” Brandon concernly states.

“Actually before we do anything as a group i need to know what’s your real name.” Kite states.

“What this isn’t the time!” Brandon yells.

“No it’s okay I understand. Kylie My name is Kylie.”Kylie states.

With that the group soon comes to a decision and the journey begins.
