Anna had always been curious about her past. She knew she was adopted, but she didn't know anything about her biological parents or why they gave her up. She had a happy life with her adoptive parents, but she couldn't help wondering about her origins.

She decided to do a DNA test and find out more about her ancestry. She ordered a kit online and sent her saliva sample to the lab. She waited eagerly for the results.

A few weeks later, she received an email with a link to her report. She clicked on it and opened the page. She was shocked by what she saw.

She expected to see a map of her ethnic background and a list of her relatives. Instead, she saw a message that said:

"WARNING: You are in danger. Do not trust anyone. They are after you. They want to kill you."

She stared at the screen, confused and scared. She thought it was a joke or a mistake. She refreshed the page, hoping it would change. It didn't.

She closed the page and checked the email again. It was from the same company that she ordered the kit from. It had their logo and their address. It looked legitimate.

She wondered who sent her this message and why. She wondered who they were and what they wanted. She wondered why they were after her and why they wanted to kill her.

She decided to call the company and ask for an explanation. She dialed the number on the email and waited for someone to answer.

"Hello, this is DNA Quest. How can I help you?" a voice said.

"Hi, this is Anna Smith. I ordered a DNA test from you a few weeks ago and I just received my results," Anna said.

"Okay, let me check your file," the voice said.

There was a pause.

Then, the voice said, "Oh, I'm sorry, Miss Smith. There seems to be a problem with your report."

"What kind of problem?" Anna asked.

"Well, it appears that your DNA sample was contaminated by another sample," the voice said.

"Contaminated? How?" Anna asked.

"We don't know exactly how, but it seems that someone switched your sample with another one before we processed it," the voice said.

"Switched? By whom?" Anna asked.

"We don't know that either, but we suspect that it was done by someone who works for us," the voice said.

"Why would someone do that?" Anna asked.

"We don't know that either, but we have reason to believe that it was done for malicious purposes," the voice said.

"What do you mean?" Anna asked.

"We mean that someone wanted to hide your true identity and put you in danger," the voice said.

"My true identity? What are you talking about?" Anna asked.

"We're talking about the fact that you are not Anna Smith," the voice said.

"What? Of course I am!" Anna said.

"No, you're not. You're someone else," the voice said.

"Who am I then?" Anna asked.

"You're..." the voice said, but before it could finish, there was a loud bang on the other end of the line.

Anna heard a scream and then silence.

She dropped the phone and gasped.

She realized that someone had shot the person who was talking to her.

She realized that someone had killed him before he could tell her who she really was.

She realized that someone had found out where he was and what he knew.

She realized that someone was after him and wanted to kill him.

She realized that someone was after her too and wanted to kill her too.

She realized that she had to run.

She grabbed her coat and keys and ran out of her apartment.

She got in her car and drove away as fast as she could.

She looked at the rearview mirror and saw a black SUV following her.

She panicked and stepped on the gas.

The SUV sped up too and started to ram into her car.

Anna swerved and dodged, but the SUV was relentless.

She saw a sign that said, "Airport 10 km".

She hoped she could make it in time.

She hoped she could escape from them and find out who she really was.
