The Cult in the woods:
Howling Moon: A werewolf story | Part 1

Rey sat uncomfortably on the drive to lake satellite, rearranging himself with a rough groan, his eyes and cheeks slightly squeezing together as his mouth gently displayed his teeth. His body burned and raced with restlessness.
Thump thump thump, his leg bounced, wanting to expel himself from his poly-blend seat as the drive was gradually reaching its destination. Him and his friends; Mateo, Uiop, and Wertin, saved for their entire senior year for this trip. Selling drinks, selling their lunches to others who wanted them, even selling answers to questions that came relatively easy for them, making quick bucks on people called "zom-learners." A nickname they gave to those who didn't want to work.
"We're almost there, man." Wertin says from the front driver seat, peering at him from the rear-view mirror for a moment. Seeing him fidget with anything he puts his hands on. Uiop, riding shotgun, twists himself and leans on the drivers seat with one hand.
"Here, this might make you mellow out a bit." He says, presenting a square candy. Rey thought about it for a moment. Should he? it would certain relax him well enough to burn the remaining time. "Gummy for your troubles!" Mateo blurts from the side of him, taking the piece of candy out of Uiop's hand. Rey watches the little gummy get snagged from a quick flash of tan. It was as if Mateo was a falcon and the gummy was a rodent.
"Geez, Mateo." Rey begins, Mateo pops the gummy in his mouth, looking at Rey with a straight face. "What? You were just staring at it" He shrugs as his mouth breaks down the gummy.
"I was thinking on it"
"Not much to think about, yank and munch my friend, yank and munch" Mateo repeats himself. Rey rolls his eyes while shaking his head lightly, just as Rey returns to his restlessness, Uiop pulls out another one. "Oh, trust me guys - I've packed for this trip" He says as Rey grabs the gummy before Mateo gets another idea. Mateo reaches inside his pocket and pulls out a large bag of gummies; Rey and Mateo widen their eyes, "Damn, Uiop!" Mateo says, "How much did that cost?" Rey asks, looking at the bag with disbelief.
"Not a dime." Uiop smirks as he jiggles the bag. "Five finger discount" He brings the bag back in his pocket. Rey wants to sigh, but he should be used to Uiop and his friends shenanigans. At least they did save up for the trip and he wasn't the only one hustling for money. This trip was the main attraction at the end of senior year, even little "fresh-shrimps" and "Ankle biters" snuck in.
Though Rey heard that no-body truly cared as the party was massive and everyone was having a good time. The party stretched out into the middle of the woods, it was like the whole school attended it. However Rey believes it was just the imagination of students exaggerating the time they had. Even if it was, his excitement remained solid.
Rey transition his gaze out the window, seeing flashes of browns and greens as the scenery changed into a forestry heaven. Marking that their location was just out of arms reach. His vision was like it was in slow-motion as the edible kicked in. His body felt heavy and his thoughts were clear - but his restlessness faded, it was like he was in a deep focus at the passing trees. After a few moments, or what it seemed like a focused-hour, Wertin's GPS alerts them that they're coming up on their destination. Rey switches his vision for a brief moment to look at the GPS map, something that hes been avoiding to do sense the beginning of the car ride due to his over-excitement about the trip. Now it seems like he's viewing it with a calm mind. Seeing their little arrow munching on the red line that curves.
When Rey re-stepped his vision back to the swiping forest of greens and browns, a new color was introduced, mingled in with the obscurity. His mind wanting to understand what his eyes were speaking of, imagination played like a rolling film, trying imprint it correctly.
