"To my dearest Elliot," it began. "If you are reading this, then I have succeeded. There is a city beyond the veil of our world—a City of Light. It holds answers to questions humanity has yet to even dream of asking. I leave it to you to find it."

Elliot’s hands trembled as he finished reading. Attached to the letter was a small, silver key and an address: a remote village nestled at the edge of the Blackwood Forest. Curiosity overpowered doubt, and before the week ended, Elliot was on a train heading north.

Chapter 2: The Forgotten Portal

The village was quiet, almost eerily so. Locals whispered of strange happenings in the woods, of travelers who ventured in but never returned. Armed with the letter and key, Elliot followed his grandfather’s instructions to an abandoned chapel at the forest’s edge.

Inside, he found an ornate door covered in intricate carvings of stars and swirling patterns. At the center was a keyhole, perfectly shaped for the silver key. With a deep breath, Elliot turned the key. The door creaked open, revealing a shimmering portal of light.

Without hesitation, Elliot stepped through.

On the other side was a place unlike anything Elliot had ever seen. The sky shimmered with colors that had no name, and the ground beneath his feet sparkled like crushed gemstones. Towering structures of crystalline glass and golden metal stretched endlessly upward, reflecting light in mesmerizing patterns.

The air was filled with a faint hum, as if the city itself was alive. Ethereal beings, their forms translucent and glowing, moved gracefully through the streets. One of them approached Elliot.

"Welcome, Seeker," it said in a melodic voice. "You have come to the City of Light, where knowledge and truth converge."

The being introduced itself as Liora, a guide tasked with helping seekers navigate the city. Under Liora’s guidance, Elliot began exploring the city, uncovering wonders he could never have imagined.

Chapter 4: The Hall of Truths

Liora led Elliot to the Hall of Truths, a vast library containing the collective knowledge of countless civilizations. Each book glowed faintly, and as Elliot touched one, it unfolded into a three-dimensional display of light, showing not just words but experiences, emotions, and memories.

Through these books, Elliot learned of his grandfather’s journey to the City of Light and his desire to pass on its wisdom. He also discovered warnings: the city’s knowledge was a gift, but it came with great responsibility. Misuse of this knowledge had, in the past, led to destruction.
