She arrived at the sleek and modern office building, dressed in her best professional attire. She took a deep breath and stepped inside, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. She checked in with the receptionist, who directed her to the elevator.

As Emily stepped out of the elevator onto the tenth floor, she couldn't help but feel a little intimidated. The office was bustling with activity, with people rushing back and forth and chatting on phones. She made her way to her assigned cubicle and settled in, trying to get a sense of her new surroundings.

That's when she first saw him. Aiden Reed, the CEO himself, strolled through the office with an air of confidence and power. Emily had heard plenty of rumors about him - about his playboy ways, his incredible wealth, and his ruthless business tactics. But seeing him in person was a different story.

Aiden spotted Emily and walked over, a charming smile on his face. "Hello there," he said smoothly. "You must be the new assistant. I'm Aiden Reed."

But as Aiden took her hand, he lost his grip on the folder he was holding. Papers went flying everywhere, and Emily tried to catch them as they fluttered to the ground.

"I'm so sorry," Aiden said, bending down to help Emily gather up the scattered papers. "I can be a bit clumsy sometimes."

Emily couldn't help but feel annoyed at the mess, but she tried to stay polite. "It's fine, Mr. Reed. I can handle it."

But as she tried to pick up the last of the papers, she realized that one of them was missing. It was an important contract that Aiden had been carrying, and it was nowhere to be found.

Panic set in as Aiden realized what had happened. "That contract was worth millions," he said, his face turning pale. "We have to find it."

Emily felt a sense of dread wash over her. This was not how she wanted her first day to go. She and Aiden searched frantically through the piles of paper on the floor, but the contract was nowhere to be found.

Aiden's frustration was palpable. "How could you let this happen?" he snapped at Emily. "This is unacceptable."

Emily felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes. She knew it was partly her fault, but she couldn't help feeling angry at Aiden for his carelessness. "I'm sorry," she said, her voice trembling. "I'll do everything I can to fix this."

Aiden stormed off, leaving Emily to clean up the rest of the mess. She tried to hold back her tears as she sorted through the papers, feeling humiliated and defeated.
