The Candle Game(One man hide and seek) Creepy Ritual
By: Inkmouse

The Candle Game, also known as One-Man Hide and Seek, is a paranormal ritual designed to summon a spirit and engage it in a deadly game of hide and seek. In this ritual, the player invites a spirit to possess a doll or stuffed toy and then plays hide and seek with it. This game can be dangerous, as the spirit summoned may be hostile, and failing to follow the rules could have dire consequences. The ritual is often associated with stories of haunted objects and malevolent entities, making it one of the more unsettling paranormal games.
What You Will Need:
A Stuffed Doll or Toy. It’s recommended not to use a doll you have an emotional attachment to, as it may be too risky.
Rice
A Sharp Object. A knife, scissors, or another sharp object.
Red Thread and Needle
A Cup of Salt Water
A Bathroom with a Bathtub or Sink
A Television
A Candle and a Lighter
A Safe Hiding Spot
Rules:
Although it is called "One-Man Hide and Seek," the game is dangerous, and having someone nearby (even if they are not actively participating) is recommended for safety. The longer the game goes on, the more dangerous it becomes, as the spirit may grow stronger. If you fail to end the game correctly, the spirit may remain in your home or follow you.
Preparation:
The game must be played at night, preferably around 3:00 AM, as this is often referred to as the "witching hour" when paranormal activity is at its peak.
Prepare the Doll:
Cut open the doll and remove its stuffing. Once the doll is empty, fill it with uncooked rice. The rice represents life and serves as the spirit's vessel during the game. After filling the doll with rice, clip a piece of your fingernail and place it inside the doll. This creates a personal connection between you and the doll. Sew the doll shut with the red thread, and tie off the thread securely. The red thread symbolizes blood, binding the spirit to the doll. Give the doll a name. It doesn’t have to be your real name, but something you can easily call it during the ritual. Pour salt into a cup of water. This salt water will be your defense and a crucial element in ending the ritual. Keep it in your hiding spot during the game.
Playing the Game:
Bring the doll and your sharp object to the bathroom. Fill the bathtub or sink with water and place the doll in the water.
In a clear voice, say three times: "I am (Your Name), and you are it," while looking at the doll. This phrase invites the spirit to possess the doll and marks the beginning of the game. After saying the phrase, immediately leave the bathroom. Do not run, but walk calmly to your hiding spot. After exiting the bathroom, turn off all the lights in your house, except the one in the hiding room where the television is located. Turn on the TV to a static channel (or leave it on a low-volume channel with minimal sound). The TV will act as a signal—if the doll is near, you may notice the image on the screen flicker or change. Once in your hiding spot, light the candle and hold it as your source of light and protection. Keep the cup of salt water nearby, as it will be needed to end the ritual.
The Game Begins:
After hiding, wait for exactly 10 seconds. Then, return to the bathroom with the sharp object still in hand and stab the Doll and say three times: "(Doll's Name), I have found you!" This act is symbolic of transferring your life force to the doll. After stabbing the doll, leave it in the bathroom. You must now say aloud: "Now (Doll's Name) is it!" This makes the doll the seeker, and the game of hide and seek begins.
Immediately after declaring the doll "it," leave the bathroom, find your hiding spot again, and wait. Keep an eye on the TV for signs that the doll is moving. Paranormal disturbances, such as flickering images, changes in static, or strange sounds, may indicate the doll is searching for you.
Ending the Game:
If the doll seems to be close or if the atmosphere in the room changes (you may hear footsteps, feel a presence, or notice disturbances in the TV), you must end the game. Hold the cup of salt water in one hand and the candle in the other. Walk slowly back to the bathroom, but remain alert—do not let your guard down. When you reach the bathroom, locate the doll. If it has moved from where you left it, you know the spirit is still active.
Pour the salt water over the doll and say three times: "I win!" This act breaks the connection between the spirit and the doll, ending the game. After pouring the salt water, immediately dry the doll and burn the red thread or dispose of it outside your home. This will prevent the spirit from lingering. After the game, sprinkle salt around the room or use sage to cleanse your space. This helps ensure that no residual energy remains.
After the Ritual:
It is strongly advised to dispose of the doll after the game. Some suggest burning the doll, while others recommend burying it far from your home. Keeping the doll could invite the spirit back. After the ritual, some participants report strange occurrences, such as seeing shadows, hearing footsteps, or experiencing nightmares. If anything unusual happens, you should cleanse your home thoroughly with salt or sage.
NOTE:
The longer the game lasts, the more dangerous it becomes. You must end the game as soon as possible to avoid allowing the spirit to grow stronger. Playing the Candle Game multiple times is said to weaken the barrier between our world and the spirit world, making it easier for hostile entities to enter.
Although the game is designed for one person, having someone nearby (even if they are not playing) can provide additional security.
The Candle Game (One-Man Hide and Seek) is a dangerous paranormal ritual. While it promises a thrilling experience of connecting with the supernatural, it carries significant risks. If you choose to play, you must be prepared for the potential consequences of summoning forces you may not fully understand.
