Ring, ring, ring.
Nancy picks up the phone and lets out a soft "hello."
"Your granddaughter sent me the most wonderful surprise," her sister-in-law says. "Did you get your mail yet?"
"Yes, what a pleasant surprise," Nancy says. "She sent you something too?"
"Yes, and how thoughtful to think of us and send those CDs from her job. How come you never mentioned her job at the bookstore?"
"Oh, I thought I had," Nancy responds, but she didn't know about her granddaughter's job. She didn't get any mail today either.
