That Window.

Was I safe?

By Dawn EarnshawPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 3 min read
Mr chalks.

The outside world was unknown to her but she could see from his window. He was there again! No one could see him only me from his window lounge. I was not to say anything my “friend” advised otherwise they will make me take all kinds of tests, and medication. But I really could see him again as plain as day, through the window, I made an excuse and pretended I was looking at the beautiful snow scenes and how it was almost New Year While Bob was making a snowman outside, he put a piece of stick for his nose and stones for his eyes. I was laughing inside, it - he was hilarious.

Mr Chalks my psychiatrist well his house was beautifully set back in the Canadian Woods. His house would just come alive and shimmer. The window had a big radiator underneath it but it never worked Mr Chalks grunted.

I don’t mind the cold but it did have an unusual cold spot around the window, it didn’t bother me as we had no window to look out of in our Loft, it was dark, warm oddly enough but no window. So I decided to draw myself one a look a like of Mr Chalks and I coloured it in and put a Snowan outside. I pined it to the chimney breast that shot up through the loft and that was my new window. I could travel when I slept to all different places and my favourite was Tokyo, the blossom trees , that made the streets look like runways to wedding venues.

I don’t know when it first happened but I know when it was completely a no to it ever happening again, but I could see people who were passed into another realm and I could talk with them and learn from them. All sorts of characters.

But when Mrs Arbuckle lost her daughter to a violent crime she came to talk to me. She sat on my bed in the loft and told me who had murdered her and that it was her teacher. Well that was it! Jesus be to May and Joseph my Father went white. Our Minister Mr Patts went white and the Police officer began to ask me questions as my Father and Minister Micheal explained I was fanciful to ideas of just floating away and visiting other countries on magic carpets with magic friends. I went without supper that night, my Father explained how dangerous it was to talk of such things and I would be classed as a Whitch, so I was never to bring the matter up again.

Another year passed and I really looked forward to Mr Chalks, I was feee to have a view from a window, sometimes when he slept I opened the window and Bob would draw closer he had become a dear friend to me and always helped in times of danger by warning me others were coming before they came. We had actually developed ourselves quite a team a friend from Nirobi a friend from Oregon a friend from the Saudi Arabia, A friend from Sweden and we would all link together and help each other in times of need. But at Mr Chalks it was delightful beam from above that would circle round and pick me up with Bob and I looking through another galactical window where we would all run and laugh in the cherry blossom gardens and lay on the big ships out on the warmth of the sea , our vision or scope is endless and boundless so Bob taught me and I am sticking with that and will tell our children under some beautiful Christmas tree. But for now the window and it’s gateway should stay in Molly maids fluffy head gateway, unless of course you don’t want Santa 🎅 to visit at yours. !
