That early morning
Early in the morning, I was called up by my mother. I was a little dissatisfied, usually, I always have to stay in bed a little longer. But when I saw my mother's tense face in a daze, I seemed to understand something for a moment, and my heart trembled vaguely.
Early in the morning, I was called up by my mother. I was a little dissatisfied, usually, I always have to stay in bed a little longer. But when I saw my mother's tense face in a daze, I seemed to understand something for a moment, and my heart trembled vaguely.
The village suddenly barked a few times, and I sat up straight with a jolt.
My mother is usually extremely doting. But now, she looked me in the eyes and said in a voice I had never heard before, so serious that I was afraid: "Let me ask you, do you not want to stay here anymore?"
I moved my lips and lowered my head without making a sound. I thought I knew the reason for my mother's visit, which was to teach me a lesson. Because just yesterday, my mother's daughter, who had always been so understanding and sweet, had learned to skip school for the sole reason that she wanted to live in the city, and after being rejected many times, she tried to force her parents to give in.
I thought that I deserved to be taught a lesson by my mother. And I was grateful to my mother because when she found me, she didn't beat me in front of so many people, but pulled me home. My mother was angry, as evidenced by my red wrists and her red, swollen eyes. But my mother did not say anything, turned around and went into the house, and did not come out all day.
I never dared to meet my mother's eyes. I was afraid to see the deep disappointment in my mother's gaze.
The dogs in the village finally stopped barking, but it seemed even more silent all around, and I even heard the distant sound of cicadas.
I finally couldn't help but raise my head, my mother's silence made me at a loss, and I decided to ask for her forgiveness first.
But my mother interrupted my words, she just asked me again and again if I wanted to live in the city from the bottom of my heart.
I froze for a moment, then took a deep breath and said firmly to my mother, "Yes! I always wanted to go to the city to study." After a long time, my mother nodded slowly and I heard her say one word with great determination: yes. I was so surprised that I met my mother's eyes and found an unknown emotion swirling in her deep eyes. She stopped looking at me and turned around and left the house.
I looked at my mother's back, which was increasingly bent by the burden of life, and my heart sank. I understood the meaning of my mother's words, but I couldn't be happy.
I stood up and struggled to follow her up, but she was long gone from the house. I rushed out with some anxiety and stared blankly at my parents sitting on the steps, basking in the sunlight and leaning on each other.
The mother looked at the small vegetable garden in front of the house, speechless for a long time, only the tightly locked brow showing the owner's pain. The father was next to the softly comforting: "I know you can not let go, live for decades of the place, there have long been felt, or we do not go, maybe she is just a momentary interest it? What's more, if you can't find a job there, how can you live?" Mother shook her head, "Who doesn't know her stubborn temper? How could I hold her back for myself? No matter how hard it is, what is good for her, I will get it for her. Just ...... just I really can't let go of her......"
In the morning sun, the tears contained in the mother's eyes quietly slipped down, lightly caressing her thin cheeks and falling on the steps paved with cement. Looking at my mother's trembling shoulders, I finally couldn't help but turn my back and let the tears come out ......
I will never forget that morning, there is a great mother, in front of her children swallowed all the pain and helplessness, but sat on the steps secretly crying ......
