Lower stomach feelings
Author note: I’ve been feeling utterly exhausted emotionally and physically. Here’s some cathartic stuff hopefully, I guess. I feel like trauma is an empty bag you can’t open and fill up, it’s a cruel light thing you carry and it attaches to you tightly.

Rip-Tide
Francis walks the short distance from his office to the city aquarium. He used to take his lunch there, but over the years his visits became less and less, as he has less and less time to spend. At least that is the way he feels. He remembers the sense of awe and splendor he had as a child, peering through the glass watching the tropical fish dart about. But, that was a long time ago and he is older now.

One Afternoon at the Aquarium
The Sapphire Seas Aquarium was visited by people from all backgrounds - residents, tourists, friends, families, couples, young, elderly, animal lovers, people who were indifferent to animals, those who were interested in sealife and those who simply wanted to pass the time. One thing was certain - everyone who set foot in the aquarium remembered their visit there.

Aquarium
"Thomas, it's time to wake u-" Thomas jumped out of bed fully dressed. His mother, Denise, jumped, a little startled by his sudden movement. Then with her hand on her chest, she took a breath and smiled. Thomas was wearing his jeans and his favorite "Sharkadile Joe" T-Shirt. That was his favorite TV show, it was about the magical marine biologist who was saving the environment by talking to animals and learning about the challenges they faced.

Mr. Blue’s Wonderful Transporting Aquarium
Billy, Sam, and I were kicking my bright red ball out the back of town one cloudy Sunday morning. There was little else to do in this tiny little beach town when the weather turned rotten. So, we ran along, splashing the ball through the puddles of last night’s downpour, and waiting for something more exciting to do. I heard a noise up ahead on the road.

Undine
I don't know if fish can get depressed but I've seen enough of them to believe they can. An aquarium is supposed to dazzle and delight and bring wonders from the unknown into our earthen realm. These fish and mammals are not arriving under the best circumstances though. With each newcomer, there is an energy that is being corrupted and corroded. This place isn't where they are supposed to be. My aquarium is the final resting place for most of them now. I hope divine intervention occurs or else these creatures will not survive whatever is coming...........

That didn't last long...
The elegant lines of a stingray glided past as my eyes attempted to burn holes in the glass of it’s home, unable to blink away the pain. I felt my mind emptying of all my thoughts and a dark cloud looming, ready to engulf me. I couldn’t think, I couldn’t blink, all I could do was stare.

Twin Souls
Chapter One: A Thorny Truth The enormous ruby dragon peered down at the altar, seeing to his surprise a human child, no older than two or three of their years, sitting by a crude fire. The child was staring into the flames as if in a trance, apparently oblivious to the fact that he was strangely alone on this old afternoon, with neither care nor caretaker in sight. The boy suddenly hiccupped and the dragon gave a nervous start, adjusting his weight slightly on the cliff overlooking the forest as he considered his options.

The lights are blinding. Red, blue, white, flickering, flashing. Alarms blaring. The floors are slick with salt and blood and glisten under the warning beacons. They’re covered in broken glass.
