The Hunter becomes the Hunted. Content Warning.
Life is an unpredictable journey. This provides me with the inspiration to write an article titled "The Transformation of Power." In our world, power is often seen as something to be wielded indefinitely. However, individuals fail to recognize that the tables can turn and even those in positions of power can become vulnerable. Many people have abused their power, causing harm and terrorizing others. They refuse to acknowledge the possibility that a hunter can become the hunted when life takes an unexpected turn. If you currently hold a position of authority or influence, I urge you to read this article to gain insight and rebuild yourself. Consider the lion in the forest, a creature with great power over all other animals. Despite its dominance, there will come a day when the lion loses its strength and ability to prey upon others. This could be due to illness, circumstances, or old age. Reflect on this scenario if you find yourself in a position of power. Picture the lion, once mighty and fierce, being helplessly watched by smaller animals as it weakens and eventually passes away. Just like the lion, a man can also be hunted. Such is the essence of life. If you are a leader or ruler, remember that there will come a day when your power and authority vanish. Keep this in mind and ask yourself why you would oppress the masses and look down upon the less fortunate. Cease to oppress the poor and disrupt the lives of the innocent. Remember, life is unpredictable, and the hunter can become the hunted. The concept encapsulated in the saying "The Hunter becomes the hunted" serves as a key to understanding that a hunter can become the prey, a wicked man can meet his downfall, and power can shift unexpectedly. These changes can arise from unforeseen circumstances, unforeseen challenges, or a reversal of fortune. Therefore, acknowledge that power is transient and subject to change. I implore you to reflect deeply today. A life lived wickedly leads to a dead end. If you are fortunate enough to hold a position of power or authority, wield it wisely. Aim to be remembered for your positive contributions, not for your wrongdoing. Always bear in mind that nothing lasts forever. Keep the notion that the hunter can become the hunted at the forefront of your thoughts. Certainly! Here's an example:

Jasper, on the other hand, was the town's aging locksmith, whose nimble fingers and quiet demeanor concealed an insatiable curiosity.

Holy Terra. Second Place in 2023 Vocal Writing Awards - Science Fiction. Content Warning.
The stench of blood was thick in the recycled air. Its metallic reek stuck to the new captain’s throat even as the auto-scrubbers got to work removing it from circulation. She didn’t think that she would ever forget the stench, the taste of the air, or the feeling of her knife grinding against the old captain’s ribs.

Witch Hill
Atop a platform in a field of marsh and green a dwelling stands against the test of time and as I found it long ago, lost in another time and place. It seemed to me as if it had been forgotten and abandoned long ago by the original inhabitants of the dwelling, but too it seemed as if it were holding that small secret that needed to be opened. I had thought to myself of that cold and damp location, it sent shills up my spine but still gave hope to me as if I were the only one to be able to break the curse that it held on itself and nay once be occupied again by that of the living and breathing.
