Hidden in Plain Sight: Chapter 6
Pulling on her dark jumpsuit, Artemis explained her plan to Biscuit’s once again. “So, I’m going to the back end of the Croix Building to use the fire escape to get to the roof. I measured that alley between the two buildings earlier and it’s only two steps across. It won’t be a fun jump, but it should totally be doable. Especially because the fire escape sticks out at least half a step from the side of the building. I may be able to just take a big step and not have to jump at all. Once I get to the museum I need to head towards the back of the dome to look for a maintenance ladder or something else that could be used to scale it. There are two guards who do rounds inside the museum on the second floor, so I will need to make sure not to hangout in front of any of the windows. If I find a ladder I will explore a bit tonight and see what I can find. If not, I’ll make a note of what is up there and try again next week on New Year’s Eve with a better plan.” Biscuits gave a large yawn and jumped up on his favorite cushion of the sofa. Artemis tucked her dark hair into the black stocking cap, laced up her boots, and slipped out the back door of her house under the cover of darkness.

Chapter One
“Sorry!” A young and beautiful blonde ran down the busy streets of New York City, dressed in a short dress with her waitress apron still wrapped around her waist. The pretty woman carried three bags with her, which did not help with the crowded nature of the street. She didn’t mean to, but she kept crashing into people as they kept walking in her way. It’s like they had no concern about her panicked or rushed state and was, in fact, trying to make things worse for her. The blonde grunted and groaned as her shoulders kept ramming into strangers, and she would shrink into herself every time someone yelled at her. Which was often.

Boomerang of Happiness - 16
Anna honestly tried her hand at home making. Since her mother never taught her any house-keeping skills, Anna tried to simply replicate what her mother did around the apartment: cleaning, keeping things in places, and decorating with little nick-nacks. However, because she was neither invested nor really interested in this, everything Anna did was half-hazard and slipshod. Even when things were in their places, the apartment did not look orderly or well-organized. When Anna swept the floors (vacuum cleaners were a prohibitive luxury in the Soviet Union, especially for a young couple), she simply swept everything under the rugs and never washed the floors. The dishes she washed were as greasy and slippery as if they were never washed, just rinsed off sloppily. Whenever she decided to do laundry after they nearly ran out of everything they had clean, Anna would wash laundry by hand and then spread it for drying right in the apartment on chair backs, doors and other surfaces on which she could hang things. Alex was mostly oblivious to this, for him it was important that Anna was doing at least something. He tried not to argue with her about anything, especially because she continued complaining about everything.

5 - Misplace
5 – Misplace The clouds were gathering but it was neither warm nor chilly, just pleasant outside with a slight breeze in the air. As it was Autumn, most of the leaves were missing leaves, they just lay in the ground to be crumpled up. It had turned 5pm and the sun was just setting, crowds of children appeared from nearby streets disturbing leaves as they rushed on by.

The Hero’s Conundrum/Chapter one
I have started writing this journal because someone need to make sense of this madness. To be honest I don’t even know if this is the beginning of my journey, I really don’t know, maybe this is the end, when you read this, maybe you’ll understand or maybe get more confused. Well for starters the year is unknown since all history records have been eradicated with the war, what we know, we’ve learned it from the elders of the faction we are in. The elders on my faction say that the world is a very different place now, USA is in ruins and filled with radiation, but. . . no, never mind that.

Lake of Souls Chp.1
Previous Chapter After three days of walking I finally arrived at the kingdom of fire. I had learned a couple of things while walking. Even though I had been bestowed with a sense of longing to find the lake I had not been given anything else. I still did not need nor want food, water, or sleep. I did not grow tired from walking either. I was rather amazed at how large my territory had been. I had thought the gods hadn't left me much space but I guess they never wanted any of their chosen children to find me even by accident. However I was here now and it was time to truly begin my search.

Diego's Big Escape
“This is Diego!” a small voice suddenly chirped. Serena turned around, surprised to suddenly have a child tugging on her shirt. While unexpected, Serena internally shrugged and decided to learn more; life was always more fun with surprises. She turned around and saw two girls. One was holding a Macaw Beanie Baby up, as if to show it off. “Oh, nice to meet you, Diego.”
