A Tragic Tale Part 2
That next morning, I felt like our party last night might have summoned a ghost that has decided to tether to my soul and stay around for a while. There seemed to be a layer of something lingering in the air. I couldn’t put a finger on it, but I knew it, whatever it was, floated around my presence. My mom was making breakfast in the kitchen when I walked and I was surprised. It was a meal fit for a king. Waffles and pancakes were stacked high with whopping amounts of butter and syrup. Toppings like sprinkles, whipped cream, sliced fruit, and bacon were spread across the table.

She took what I loved from me and made me feel so insignificant that I lost all my courage. Now, I’m sitting here in a padded room and everyone thinks I’ve gone crazy.

“Son of a sow!” Malik punctuated his substitute for profanity by lightly punching the steering wheel of the truck he was driving as he squinted to read the highway sign up ahead which explained the various amenities that may be available at the next rest stop. His stomach automatically growled because besides the two Slim Jims from earlier that morning, Malik hadn’t consumed anything of actual sustenance since he left the crime scene.

Twisted Tales for Toilet Time: Volume II, Part V
Eight AM Once Upon an Hour of Time… An elderly gentleman named Archibald awoke at 8am, as he did every morning. He put on his best suit, turned the kettle on, and placed a tea bag in his favourite mug. When the water boiled, he poured it into the mug. Then went to finish getting ready while it brewed. He placed two slices of bread in the toaster. One white, one brown. He layed out a plate, cutlery, and the spreads he favoured. Poured milk into the mug of tea, took the toast and tea to the table and sat.
