How Snake Antivenom is Developed?
Ken Winkel, who worked from 1999 to 2015 at the Venom Research Unit in Australia to find out if Indians could use snake venom, deserves credit for this idea, said Ken Hamilton Fairley. Fairley was a therapist in the Poison Research Unit and spent five years in Bombay.

Simple Pleasures
The saloon was abustle with the merriment of working folk, drinking away the fatigue of the day that was now behind them. Observing their fun from the second-floor balcony was the town sheriff, nursing a bottle of ale and quietly tapping his foot to the bard’s jaunty tune. Though his demeanor was stoic, he was happy to see his people enjoying themselves.

Green Beam
The prison was well lit and surrounded by every electronic security measure for Zoe Stollin to feed off of. The Living Lazer's cell was pitch dark and windowless, with the nearest electric source being the power lock. Stollin was 22 years old and a super-villain meant to be feared by others; she didn't fear the dark. The Living Lazer dreaded the insult of being locked away in a cell that reduced her to a common delinquent.

The Prowess Trials
The year is 2045. It has been 14 years since the government began the Prowess trials. In the beginning, the trials for the prototype were thought to be hope for a new world. A world where we did not have to worry about going hungry, becoming ill, or even dying of old age (at least not as quickly).

Joxi
The banquet hall seemed completely untouched by the dread and fear below. Distorted sunlight shone through the windows that stretched across the entire ceiling of the room. The wooden floors and bar appeared polished in the light. If it weren’t for the wreckage of tables, chairs, bottles of alcohol, and a smushed dead body or two along the entrance, the three of us could have almost forgotten where we were.

Chocolate By Death
It is my birthday. It is also 927 days after the end of life as we knew it. Wow, really? I guess I had not considered I'd be keeping track at this point. Or that I would even be around to be keeping a daily count. So, I'm roughly two and a half years into surviving this thing. This thing, eh, some survivors have reverted to calling the roaming dead “walkers.” Believe it or not "zombie" is still a popular term. I just refer to them as "Them." And, we must always avoid Them. Always. Sometimes a person can be tricked into believing there is recognition in those cloudy, cataracted eyes, but it is just best to put your head down and move along. There is nothing left inside but squishy parts. No firing synapses in the brain to spur them to speak a recognizable word—in any language. And, for heaven’s sake do not let them follow you home. They just roam around scaring the wildlife and that possibility of leaving germs around that you might inadvertently introduce to your system. Are you immune? No one knows until it’s too late. Then you just wander aimlessly. Forever.

Origin, Chapter One
The Four Heroes and the Next Four stared aghast as one, staggered by the scene that had presented itself to them. A straightforward mission to retrieve the severed head of one of Dimension Borg’s robots from six old enemies had spiralled irretrievably out of control, upon the sudden appearance of a horde of warlike and strangely familiar rock-men apparently under the command of a girl identical to Phoenix Neetkins, who called herself Phoenix Prime. Now, as an inferno continued to blaze throughout the ravaged warehouse interior, as the robot’s domed head looked silently on from its pillar of technical apparatus in the centre of the floor, and as the stony soldiers poised for the advance, Phoenix Prime issued her order from her vantage point far above the others’ heads.
