New Green Things
When the neon green radiation detectors on the corners of the buildings started blinking more than five times a day, I said maybe we should get out of the West, head to Boston or DC or New York. The cloud was coming our way, straight off the coast through California toward the Gulf, and Tucson was right in the hot zone.

The Green Ghost Light
"'Go camping,' they said. 'It'll be fun,' they said," Brian grumbled to himself. Now, they were hunkered down behind a counter in a strange building, trying not to have their heads blown clear off their shoulders by a sharpshooter. Brian was having a ball.

Agoraton
The Agoraton is one of the worst animals to come across in the Wasteland. It's basically a gigantic alligator-thing. This... I apologize. I have a lot of information at my disposal now. I mean, I had a lot to begin with. After living out in the deep sands these past ten years, living with Winter Wolf for a number of years before that, and the years I spent scaving around before all of that too... But now, I have a lot more information. A lot more.

'Til the End of Time
It had been a year since Darren had talked to her, and it had taken him that long to get over her. But when the endtimes came, he didn’t want to leave with any regrets. He regretted too much already that could not be fixed, so if this could be fixed, he had to do it. It seemed the whole world was getting their final ducks in a final row, so shouldn’t he, too? At midnight, the world would combust in a burst of…what exactly? Would it be an instantaneous explosion, fire and smoke, a chemical reaction, blinding lights holding you captive by their rare beauty as they took the world down once and for all? Whatever it was, it would be, and that would be the end.

Shark Tamer - Part 1
The large waves crashed into the jagged rocks lining the seaside cliff. Appearing and disappearing beneath the rocks every few moments, the jagged rocks stood strong as the torrent of water struck the rocks, creating a flurry of white foam. But the tallest rocks, being immune to the strong current, offered a smaller glimmer of calm for any animal and creature to take a momentary break. This is where Seben decided to rest after swimming to the surface many moments ago.

A Seed In Space
I’m on a journey that I don't understand yet. That line had echoed in Hestia’s mind ever since the day she’d read it. It was the first line of a leather-bound journal buried in the back of a supply closet. The closet was in Dr.Scott’s office, and Hestia would never have found it if she had not been tending to her duties as his most proximate assistant. It was dusty but new, as if it was rarely worn down by hands or eyes. She’d never seen a notebook that was not bound by spiral, or with such a smooth and soft finish.
