Standing here listening to the last rites of this preacher giving the final details of the existence of my life in a surreal eulogy I watched the people surrounding my coffin as it was being lowered into the ground I wish I could see my face just one last time I’m curious about how I am laid out and who picked this preacher since I was not a churchgoer. "Dearly belovedth we lay to rest this soul who was our family and friend ashes to ashes let this soul return from whence it came," the preacher said.

Chorus of Dreams I
Dream Recounted by a Seeker at DeVee: |In a dream, I saw a vision of night. Ordered on the earth and about it and above it were the currents of fortune and wonder and endeavor that, in unison, sing the world, and the word of that song is Life. And the better good hearts love freely, compete bravely and cooperate generously, the purer the song becomes. The song will never be the same in any two instants from first to last, but where a spring breeze for a moment blew the troubles from a person’s mind, or when strangers caroled gladly around a fire, and when the souls of men and women and children looked outward into the stars at night, the song became not audible but real and solid. Coin found in the wash that can be spent free of worry. Laughter and the smell of soup and baked bread. The feeling of a gentle tug on the rope that binds one heart to another.

The Void
The Void by: Dennis R. Humphreys In the beginning, it is written, there was a great void. There was nothing. It was the realm of the supernatural because from it, matter was expelled, from which the universe was created. Nothing comes from nothing so there was something. It was the realm of the gods. If you want to call it heaven you can. Call it what you wish, but this was the domicile of the gods. This is where one god among the many who were part of the collective consciousness there, through his free will, exerted his independence. In the bible it speaks of the gods as 'we'. Then it speaks of the one who stepped forward and declared his independence through two words uttered to create the mass disturbance in the universe that continues to this day...'I am”.

A Walk in the Park
A Walk in the Park by: Dennis R. Humphreys Intelligence is measured differently by different people in different environments. They overlook the basic premise of intelligence. That is communication through the ability of a subject to interface effectively to people of different backgrounds and even languages they can't speak. Without that ability a simple thing like warning someone to get out of the way of a speeding train could prove disastrous.

I Need A New Robe Belt
A bold wind blows in off the ocean, fluttering my silk robe open. My fingers clutch at the edges to pull it closed, its usual radiant red dulled to a dried-blood brown in the silvery moonlight. Other than the twinkling satellites in the night sky, the only illumination is the distant logo broadcast into the clouds. An eyeless, glowing smile looms overhead. It was intended to inspire happiness. Instead it conjures a sense of foreboding deep within my gut, as if I’ve been poisoned, promising a slow, painful death. Like that of our planet.

THE DAY THE WORLD WAS UNITED
In the early spring of 2053, a year seemed to start as other previous years with warm weather, blue skies, and plenty of sunshine flowers blooming and warm breezes. Everyone enjoyed the outdoors, having BBQs, going for walks, kids playing, and riding bikes. Everyone seemed to be saying goodbye to the previous frigid winter.

The Inner Silence
By John W. Gilmore Time had passed. Sheila and I were in a small lab located in a dome in one of the many gardens, working on the cultivation of new plants that would produce more fruit and seeds. By that time I didn’t have to speak anymore, I could simply send telepathic messages. The amazing thing about that type of communication was that one could communicate with anyone from any distance. All that was needed was for them to have the ability to pick it up and hear it.

All Or Nothing
All Or Nothing, An Anunnaki Story Chapter One Apsu, dressed in his formal attire, walked through the corridor of the Ma'adim’s Guardian Headquarters heading for the office of Admiral Tolk. No one ever gets called to Tolk's office unless it is something of extreme importance, Apsu thought. He had to admit he was a little more than nervous. He couldn't even imagine why Tolk had summoned him to his office.

Invaders
'Don't tell me what to do, Gray. I can handle this myself!' I spat at my longtime friend who was just trying to make sure I didn't end up killing myself. He grabbed my arm to hold me back, but I swung it up and caught him on the chin hard enough to break his hold on me. That was the last time I saw him.

The Water Bearer
Then it dawned on me. I was drowning in the deep and no one had the empathy, or the compassion to save me. I was doomed. My destiny, one of those who are chosen to inherit good fortune and good will. Had turned into a mockery, because I could not stay present long enough to see the evil shadows and false prophet that occupied space in my mind. The uncanny result of a self-induced psychosis caused by my own lack of accountability was driving me insane. It was pure guilt. I was the weakest link, and because of it I was drowning in the deep. Night after night I haunted myself in my sleep.
