Eve's Sin + Prologue (Full One). Content Warning.
Eve's Sin Prologue: I woke up to head to my casual job as head accountant for Brewer Enterprises, a global metal-making company on Acirema. I got dressed, as usual, and I checked my phone. As it turned out, I missed exactly seven calls from Tonya, my sister beneath the ‘boss.’ I put my phone on ‘Do not disturb’ mode while I continued on my way to work. I walked outside, allowing my body to obtain its proper dose of Vitamin D. Those with melanin in their skin struggle to obtain enough in the fall and winter months due to the sun’s absence.

Reclaimed
I didn’t notice at first when it started going missing, small bits here and there. When my favorite sweater didn’t bring the same smile to my face as I pulled the sleeves over my knuckles, I thought maybe it shrunk it in the wash. By the time Christmas rolled around and I only felt annoyance, I realized too late that I’d been robbed.

Rough Cut Jewels
In my hands, I hold a vessel with no lid, and no way to entrap its contents. I squint my eyes, peering into it's shadowed depths. Inside I see a glint, a hint of something... almost a glow. As my eyes adjust to the dark, I can see two shapes. Golden-hued, seemingly lit from within. They are not sparking or shiny. They are not clear or clean. They are rough. The gems have chipped edges, sharp corners and are covered in layers of muck. It's so hard to see their amber-colored beauty that illuminates from within.
