Psychological
Bodies of bone and blood. Top Story - October 2023.
Jane sat in the Psychiatrist's office and listened as he prattled on about different personalities. Dr Largos had no idea what he was talking about, she was Jane, there was nobody else living inside her head. How dare he suggest such an utterly crazy thing. Did that kind of thing even exist. Pshaw, she wished the session would end so she could return to her beloved job as 'waitperson', serving drinks at the club. Jane really enjoyed mixing all the lovely types of drinks and cocktails, she even has one named after herself. "Jane the Lovely". The fellows really enjoyed the taste of her special mix.

Cold Embers of Faith: A Tale of Redemption in Bursa
In the heart of a chilly town in Bursa, there was a devout Muslim girl named Nazia. She was known for her simplicity and purity of heart. Her faith was a guiding light, just like the warm, amber light of a lantern, hanging steadily -protecting her against the biting winds that swept across the town. Every morning before the break of dawn, she would rise from her cozy bed, shivering in the cold as she slipped into her robe and offered her namaz- her heartfelt prayers. Her closeness to God was her solace in a world often draped in a blanket of frost.

This story is part of the Vocal + Assist on Facebook Unreliable Narrator Challenge. You can learn more about it here: Hi Doc. Nice to meet you. I'm Lobo Weir. Thank you for squeezing me in so late. I would have preferred an earlier appointment but no matter. We've probably got enough time to complete the session before I have to leave.

Mind the Gap
Mind the Gap is a phrase Archie heard over the loudspeakers every day when entering and exiting the tube, or as they call it in America, the subway. Naturally, he thought the announcement was referring to the space between the platform and the train car. He felt the need to remind people about a small void by using announcements and signs was silly and a waste of money. Seriously, how inept would a person need to be to step out of the car and wedge their foot in a space only a few inches wide? It was totally illogical.

The Nightmare Woods
My name is Paul Crag, and I find myself wandering through the desolate woods on this chilling night, an unwelcome guest in the realm of shadows and secrets. The moon's pale visage casts eerie specters that mock my presence in these cursed woods, and my every footfall resonates with a mournful echo, as if the very earth beneath me craves to devour my trembling soul. The heavy forest presses upon my psyche, its bony fingers clutching at my sanity, while an air of unspeakable dread suffuses the nocturnal stillness, tormenting me with a foreboding that gnaws at the very core of my being.
