Well, well, well. Content Warning.
I keep searching for the house. Your eyes eventually get used to the light bouncing up off the white everywhere-- or so they tell me. My lungs sting with the dry frozen air as another blast of wind throws powdery snow up at my face.

Meaning and Purpose
When God revealed himself to me and confirmed that there was a purpose to each persons’ existence I was elated. All of us were put on this earth to accomplish a specific goal. To fulfill our destiny all we need do was complete this God given task in the place and time allotted for us. I had struggled for so many years with the question of meaning in my life but now had been given the ultimate gift, the knowledge that life is not just some random series of chaotic events unfolding around us in space and time over which we have no control. Rather, our fate was predetermined by God. We would spend all of our days constantly striving to complete the objective God had planned for us from the moment of our birth. Nothing was meaningless. Each day we moved closer to fulfilling our true purpose.

Three Fins | Pt. 3
Chief Riley was imprisoned inside of the Oak Bluffs Police Department, juggling relentless phone calls from frantic vacationers, as well as a long line of pissed off locals who crammed their sweaty bodies into the small station. Her sergeant was on crowd control, while her deputy, and clerk, handled the other two phones. Her husband Hayden, the general manager of Nancy's Restaurant, left work early to help his wife regain control of the island. Being the great husband that he was, he stopped at Back Door donuts before going to the station for coffee and his wife’s all-time favorite treats. Cinnamon rolls and apple fritters.

Surrender the Witches
Being out in the garden always carried a bit of magic with it. Brushing back the rosemary for the sweet smell of it. The calming aroma of lavender and anise made the world take on soft purple hues that swirled into each other like a twilight sunset. Walking through the garden was stepping into an Autumn corn maze, head high and miles deep. But it wasn’t miles. It was footsteps. The same footsteps Mom used to take to pluck her posies and parsnips.

One Line Says It All (All the World's a Stage)
January 21 being "National One-Liners Day" amused him, because the one-liner was a unique construct. He recognized it shared something with poetry, packing into so few words entire treatises — entire expositions. It wasn't some aphorism with just a beginning, middle, and end. One-liners are deceptive in that they're not really linear. Pithy wisdom is a tessaract in the human mind.

Choices
Mable Snider hated these Tuesday morning managers meetings. She ran her hand through her salt and pepper hair and thought, "every job has its drawbacks". The new guy, Tom Stalky, was delivering his first weekly report with enthusiasm and bravado. She was sure it would wear off. Mable would be second to the last to give her weekly accounting of complaints, goals meet, expectations based on future trends, etc. Insurance was so predictable. Like Charlie Brown's teacher "wa, wa, wa, wa, ..." The reports droned on until the word 'Janet blasted her to attention. Janet had been discussed before but now it was suggested the she be moved to Mable's department.
