"What is bothering you?"
I wake up every day and you're there. You take care of me, feed me and love me, I couldn't be happier. Although, you're not as happy, Celine. I see you moving around looking sad and crying but I don't know what's wrong. I don't know how to cheer you up or support you and you don't seem to be getting better. I can't keep seeing you like this.

Henderson the Purple Rain King
Chapter 1 Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. They rolled in from either the east or the ether just after Memorial Day, positioning themselves above the Inner Harbor and appearing with clockwork regularity thereafter. No one knew why or how or what it meant but by the dog days of that long Baltimore swelter of a summer most people were ignoring it and going about their lives as usual, not even the tourists were snapping pics for the Gram anymore. Never underestimate humanity’s ability to write off the miraculous, to grow accustomed to the sublime.

Royal Lightning
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. As the clouds rolled by, pink, most people would stop and think. They said their prayers in the dark of night, to avoid a fearful plight. Magic though free, was rare to find. It was almost absent from everyone’s mind. Yet, as the purple clouds danced with the blushing sky, people prayed and chanted, wanting to keep death away in their sleep, hoping to not die.

The Mountain and the Valley. Top Story - March 2023.
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. It was the Mountain Spirit, Akwuk, expelled to her foothills, who sent up the cumuli to the rosy ceiling suspended between Kmarkn’s western and eastern peaks. A month past, Akwuk had come down from the mountain and entered the valley of Kmarkn at evening. She had passed through the line of cedars that divided her realm from Axwiy’s. Perhaps at this point, the Valley had sensed the Mountain’s unhallowed entry, or heard the strident thrum of its elysian heart on the night air.
