Love
Life Through Glass
A day at the aquarium is just what we need, she thought to herself. It had been a long time since she and Robin had had a dedicated day to themselves and the thought of the calm, tranquil environment of the aquarium appealed to her; letting the surroundings dictate the mood, a mood that would allow them to focus on each other. A little world of bright technicolour, like being in a natural kaleidoscope. Magical almost and suspended from reality. It appealed to her sense of romanticism and she was desperately trying to hold onto this in the face of a barrage of the mundane. Their love had become stagnant. She wasn't sure why. Routine? Tiredness? Time constraints? Effort? All of the above? Quite probably. But she was not prepared to continue in this vein and this was her opening attempt at revival. She still loved Robin, she thought, although sometimes she wondered if she was convincing herself of this feeling rather than experiencing it.

It's Okay To Be Vulnerable
“Girl, I will be there in 20 minutes.” “So I should expect you in an hour?” Melodic laughter filtered from the phone sitting on the vanity while Winter aggressively brushed highlights on her cheekbones. She had made plans today to meet up with her bestie, Zaida, to take care of some pre-vacation shopping.

A flickering street light lit up this mystery normal looking seal carton box with no labels, logos or packaging of any kind to identify who it belong to or what contents it might have inside. Immensely eager and curious to find out what was making the sound. He try to open it with his blunt box cutter knife, 🔪 but to his surprise the box rattle like if it contain a trap 🪤 wild animal. The ringing noise slowly began fading away while icy noctilucent clouds clear out the darken purplelish night sky 🌌 to make room for the gigantic Blood 🩸 moon eclipse happening.

One last gift
I’m sitting on our couch looking at the package. It’s a midsized box, not too heavy but not too light. When I heard a loud noise outside of our front door the last thing I expected to see was a drone dropping it off at our doorstep. Before I could make anything of it, the drone was gone. It flew away like some kind of a bird. There’s no sender’s address. Weird… I picked up the box, brought it to the couch, and now I’m just sitting, staring at it.

The Set Up
We drove up the snowy, winding road towards the cozy A-frame cabin. A nice vacation is exactly what I needed to reset before I resumed the last semester of my master's degree. It was a last-minute trip decision on my part; my friend Anna had originally planned on coming, but due to an emergency at work, she couldn't. That's where I came in. I was planning on spending the weekend lazing on the couch and catching up on the latest episodes of shitty Netflix reality shows. I suppose spending a weekend in a secluded cabin was better than what I had planned.

The Surprise
We drove up the snowy, winding road towards the cozy A-frame cabin. We have been there before, but that was during the summertime last year. This year we were looking forward to staying as a family-christmas-vacation. Our truck was filled up with all we needed: food, presents, christmas ornaments, candles, cookies, and Christmas wine.

The Professor’s wish
She peeked through her blue stained glass window, and yawned, moving over her light pink kitchen with a dainty, quiet step to make the first batch of morning coffee. She liked to be up early as she always was an early riser. Rose was a petite woman with soft yellow curls and green eyes, a smile that always made others smile immediately after they saw it—magnetic, they couldn’t help it.
