Bonded
The cabin in the woods has been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. A gentle crossbreeze caused it to flicker, casting odd, rippling shadows around the room. She didn’t even notice. She was too focused on the cleaning she needed to get done before he woke up.

The Man In Red
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. I saw it burned with my own two eyes. That means someone was there. Someone was in that cabin.” In the middle of Puma Woods, Brian gazed into the campfire in front of him. He was hypnotized by the ruby orange color flames that were shaped like tongues meandering skywards in front of him. “I did not want to stick around in those woods, so I ran off.” He reached inside the cooler next to him to pull out a can of beer. “I had so many nightmares after that.” He opened the can and took a swig.

A Night in the Storm
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. It was a rugged, sturdy cabin that had stood the test of time and had survived numerous Florida storms and hurricanes that moved across the Everglades during the hot summer months. The outside was worn like an old leather shoe. The roof was missing a few shingles, but it still stood. It had no reason to be there, other than someone wanted away from everyone. Noone dared to go out there including law enforcement. It was the perfect secluded hideaway.

The Siren of Vanavara
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. The old Vanavara house was the only structure of the village that was still standing after the inhabitants had been removed following Mikhailov’s visit. The initial story still stood as one where the village had been deemed unsafe for an undisclosed number of reasons, but the villagers paid no mind. None of the observers sent into the village encountered anything like what Doctor Jacobs was now looking at. Even if one of the prior observers had left the candle in the window, it would have been long burned down by the time he arrived.

Flicker
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. The cabin rested on a hill in the forest overlooking a small village. The candle flickered across the trees for all the villagers to see. It was there, that the whispers grew and the people cleared the streets. Shutters drew and tightened by trembling hands.
