I was mad by now. "I know all of that! It is the known history. Humans killed other innocent humans. Witches began acting like doctors so that they would overhear gossip of vampires. Vampires are monsters. All of that is history too. I humored you out of my respect for Andreo, but now the hour I promised you is almost up. . . " My head was hurting and my thirst was growing. I needed to control my thirst. . . It was almost as if Andreo could hear my screaming thought. "Lulu?" He motioned for the woman in the corner. I knew her. She was the human who grew (and smoked) the clans tobacco. Her willing smile said she knew it was her time and that she was ready. With a tear trying to form, I asked her "One too many cancer sticks huh?" Her laugh turned into a struggling gasping choke for air. She fell to the floor as she finally caught some shallow breathes. "I am glad it is you," she whispered as she tilted her head to the right exposing her neck. When I was finished, as always, I demanded that I was the one to bury her. It was always granted. I turned back to the strange woman. Softly I spoke, "What is your name again?" She seemed to want give me space. She quickly pushed that aside though. Calmly and respectfully she started again, "As I stated, my name is Amerilla. I am your birth mother and your birth father is Vindal. [At this moment, she held up three gems: a diamond, an aquamarine and a zicron.] Now you know how Andreo saved three lives. Not long ago, I sensed a strong magical will that yearns to be free yet is not. I was able to follow it through the Mist because I have no ill intent on those within it. . . " I looked up at the time, stood up and said (while storming out of Andreo's office), "Time's up."

The Colony
The Colony “I write to you and your brothers a defeated man. This illness has taken much from our family already and it stands to take more. I know you maybe too young to understand what is happening. I am writing you now to tell you about myself. It seems fate has stepped in. I am not going to be there for your moments. All the moments a father looks forward to seeing in his son’s life. I can only imagine seeing in love for the first time. Your first broke heart. I am sorry won’t be there to tell you to keep your head up and there will be someone else. “

The Dreamland
[Report Number: 51287305009] “E’re since I was a lass, the water seemed to spake to me. I would enjoy most the times that we weren’t going anywhere and would find the most vibrant springs. One cloudy day, mom saw me laying in the water like a hand holding me up. She laughed, then cried…

Labyrinthine
Labyrinthine by Kellis Charles Lewis I felt the usual tingling sensation before my ceiling tore away into darkness. I blinked a few times and registered a block floating in front of me, just within arm's length, shifting through every conceivable color. This was the 'pixel trigger', the Go button for this foreign yet familiar universe. With a touch, I was Diving into the revolutionary breakthrough by the Ikora Corporation --the Remote Immersion Gateway System, aka RIGS. This technology had only been public for about a year but it already caught on worldwide: the perfect escape from our crumbling, dying world.

Ka Mgbanwe Bido
The air inside the living room was tight as a knot. Every molecule of fresh breeze seemed to disappear behind the closed doors and darkened windows. The palpable fear of the 2 women threatened to choke them, which was perhaps why they had failed to utter any words since they came in.
