A Vampire Walks into a Gas Station
The words on the faded white sign still shone clear in my mind as I blew out a final puff of nicotine-laced smoke, grinding out the remains of my cigarette beneath the heel of my boot. I don’t remember when I started going to these meetings, but they had become my only form of socialization since the whole wedding fiasco.

This Side of the Horizon
Kenzie stood on the edge of the cliffs watching the fishing boats silhouetted against the horizon. The white-capped waves crashed against the rocks below. She longed to be out on the sea, sailing away from here, away from the only home she had ever known. There just wasn’t much left for her here. The winds blew her shoulder-length brown hair back from her face and made her green eyes water slightly. She glanced down at the rocks for a moment. She thought she saw something down there, an animal maybe. It had been dark brown, almost blending in with the wet stones. Whatever it was, she couldn’t see it anymore. She pulled her jacket tighter against the chilly winds and turned to head home.

Flash Fiction | The Sun Fairy
As I continued to chase Sophia through the forest the light became dimmer and dimmer the deeper into the lush landscape I ventured. Soon, I had to slow my pace considerably as it became so dark I could no longer see my outstretched hand.

~*I'll Be There~*
James Mazzara Robert Piest Dark brown eyes scanned the words of the page within the mystery novel that he was keeping himself occupied with, however, actually, he just couldn't bring himself to concentrate at all for it had been at least 15 minutes that he had spent on reading the one paragraph over and over once more. Finally sighing in defeat, thus putting the bookmark in, he soon closed the object as he walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water to help calm his nerves. It had been over an hour and a half since Robert was last seen as he could remember from earlier that the angelic teenager told him that he had met some guys over at the Community Center whom he became quickly acquainted with and that they were going to hang out with one another for a while.

The Lion's Hunt: Part 5
Click Here for Part IV or Click Here to Start From the Beginning. PART V Still covered in much of the innards of Commander Heiyan’Khul, Commander Vyuum stepped forward expecting to greet the Arms team’s commander. Etom' also wanted to express frustration at their lack of foresight but realised that Commander Laal’Fysun was not among them. The heads of every member of the Arms team dropped at the mention of their leader's name, and they gathered to explain the reason for their Commander’s absence. It was a brief story of jammed platform controls, an amassing contingent of enemy soldiers, and an audacious bluff from their commander that had saved the squad's lives.

The Vetita Chronicles
A soft sigh of satisfaction escaped Ava’s lips as she fell onto the loveseat that was righted as soon as they re-entered the parlor. The soft chenille fabric and memory foam cradled her as she laid across the cushions. Thankfully, the torn fabric was easy to repair once the padding and stuffing were placed back into it. The sewing did not take as much time as cleaning the floor. Which, after picking up the large pieces of plaster, ceramic, broken picture frames, discarded papers, and mysterious baubles and keys, they swept through the room three times to ensure they swept up all the glass and plaster bits, then ran over the finished hardwood floor with multiple swifter pads, for extra security. Nothing was worse than getting a glass sliver in your foot you could feel, but not see. It took them a good portion of the night to pick up the room and by the time Ava settled into comfort, the hallway clock chimed ten p.m.

Lilac Scented Dreams (5)
The sun is shining and the sky is clear, sitting outside on a blanket enjoying the weather in my yard. Noah was sitting next to me enjoying the weather as well. Taking a bite of my turkey and cheese sandwich, I turn to Noah and say “Thank you for being a good friend to me, I haven’t really had someone to talk to in a while. It also helps that you live near me.” Giggling a nervous giggle due to my awkwardness. He puts his head on my shoulder and cracks a smile. After a short pause of silence, I look at my sandwich and I ask “How come you never eat?” Curious, as I have never seen him eat at work or out of work.

Mr. Paisel's Gift
The man sat on the edge of his bed as he stared down at him. Almost near the young man's head. And he was completely unable to move or speak. His heart pounded in his chest as the man sat near him. A tiny smile coming to his features as he stared at Shiloh. Carefully climbing over the frozen young man on the bed. Tilting his head to the side as he stared into his eyes. In a low voice, he said,"Hello my darling little one."
