Octavia
“Octavia, Time to get up for school”, my mom called. I groaned into my sheets ugh “5 more minute’s mom!” I yelled in return. I heard her laugh and walk away. I hated mornings they always come to quickly and last to short. I wanted to stay wrapped in my goose down blanket. It was warm and I felt safe. I sighed I knew if I didn’t get up my mom would come back and practically drag me out of bed by my feet with as much enthusiasm as a sloth I got up, “Man, I got to pee” I thought to myself as I made my way across the hall into the bathroom. Our house wasn’t a huge one, it was cozy and cute like a little fairytale cottage. One bathroom two bedroom all so close together the doors almost touched. I didn’t mind living in this house I loved it. Big houses scared me, and you never knew what could be in them. After I did my business.

The Banishing
Marcule Toise, red of hair and green of eye sat scanning the craggy horizon with a long lens. Angry and disappointed he put the lens down. He had missed his quarry. Rumors of the boy who screamed death and destruction had drawn him to the mountains. Now the boy had moved and learned to hide his emanations. Moved to the one place most hated and feared. Not that fear was something he acknowledged in himself. Arrogance was a double edged sword. The spell he had sent, bent all his will upon to harness the boy's power had moved oddly awry. More importantly it had been summarily dissipated. Toise shook his head gently and absently rubbed his temple. The repercussion of that dissipation had left him with an annoying twinge and his left eye occasionally twitched in sympathy. I will find him, I will learn that power. I will bend it to my purpose; he told himself and called for his servant.

The Black Witch 5
"I w-would never dare anger you or ruin a task given to me. Please c-calm down oh great Kuriga." Lora's honest eyes made her fear and confusion obvious. Kuri's calm rage saw the truth in Lora's statement. Her eyes still ablaze Kuri grabbed an appetizer from my plate and sampled it. The single bite she took was spit out almost as soon as it bitten. "It's definitely posioned. Bring me all the kitchen staff." With that time around us began to move. The guards back in motion completed their draws. "Put those away." Kuri commanded as she turned to the guards. Her glowing eyes gave the guards enough information; if they wanted to survive they would do well to heed the witches desires. In the brief moments where Lora had dispatched other guards to round up our suspects the dinning hall was a tense and eerily silent. Kuri had turned her gaze to me and looked at me with such concern that for a moment I thought I could see a tears sitting in her eyes. Then the women who were just preparing our meal walked in, with terror on their face. The guards linned them up against the wall so that they were in front of Kuri when she decided to look away from me.

Me and Jesse - Me and Danny
PRELUDE BY DAD My grandmother died when I was seven, and we moved to the “Home Place.” A shallower, crumbling cave replaced the “West Place” farm’s deep, scary cave. It was not as frightening as the deeper cave. However, some bricks in the curved ceiling had fallen, making its surface a dangerous place to play. In addition, I suspected some connection between those two caves and a portion of the unfinished dirt walls under our parlor floor.

The Journey of the Light Muse
The night was dark due to the hidden light of the New Moon. Fog rolled across the kingdom and swirled out into the surrounding wood. A young princess snuck past the guards of the castle as she made her way to the Southern Grass. The yard was covered in tall, maze-like hedges that surrounded a large pooled fountain. “Inspira..” A low voice whispered from the dark.

THE TIME-WARPERS
It seems like a Millenium has passed when I think of how it started; try more like a month in real-time. We were all at a manifestation against climate change, my brother Kamrul, his best friend Mizanur, and my best friend, Moriom. It was more an idea of our teacher, who always encouraged us to respect planet Earth and its people. We didn't always listen, but we agreed that the environment was becoming nuts! Our seasons were no longer the same, and it wasn't for the better.
