The Fall of Tal'Vyrens
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. There were trees once, thousands of years old, with bark the color of rust and branches covering the sky in shining golden leaves. Tal'Vyrens in the ancient tongue means Valley of Forever Green. Now it's cloaked in ash as pale as the moon. After five hundred years, the fires still burn underground, slowly devouring the roots.

The Dragons of Arveross Valley
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. A century ago, they had lived in the mountains, guarding their nests full of treasure. At least that's what the history texts said. Not many people who had ventured into the peaks survived the trip. It wasn't certain whether they had perished at the hands, or rather, the talons of dragons or if the harsh conditions of the towering tors had been the cause. Any treasure the dragons may have accrued was likely long gone, buried beneath the rubble of what used to be colossal peaks.

Therefore few may hide their heart from another. Those whose hearts lay in deceit, domination, or any manner of Abysmal virtue their eyes begin with touches of darkness. As one becomes more engulfed so do their eyes begin to fill until the whole turns black and the iris runs red. To those of Celestial favor a golden iris will manifest. A sign to all of their selfless hearts and benevolent intentions. Celestial favor is harder to attain; one can seem to be selfless, honest, suffering long for the Celestial virtues before being granted the mark. Though rare during the Millennial Cycle some attain the favor of an alignment so great they become an embodiment of that realm. These now ageless beings are granted miraculous power. Celestial Ascended attain silver or white hair yet maintain the body of mankind whereas Abysmal favor changes the body to better express the corruption they are engulfed in. This cycle nears its end and both sides seek to prepare the souls of those that lay in the middle.. Or in the extermination of those that will not be swayed..
