Merry Finds Christmas
It’s the Christmas season in Calgary, Alberta. The streets of Stephan Avenue are crowded with families carrying Christmas gifts and store bags, just getting ready for their festivities. Meridian Curtis also known as Merry is loitering beside the Core Shopping Center wall watching everyone come and go from the store. She is waiting for the right moment to slip inside unnoticed. The security guards walk outside watch all the fancy people (especially the women) walk out. That’s when Merry slips inside the doors and walks straight into Holt Renfrew like she belongs there.

A Portrait of Dorian Grey
"Archie! Look! Dorian's back again." Archie had heard of Dorian, but he had never seen him in the flesh because he had never worked the aquarium. Archie's ginger head swiveled around to catch a glimpse of their famous visitor. All the staff at the zoo called him Dorian Grey, after the famous story. Mostly, it was because he was grey. However, at least some of the reasoning behind the name had to do with the legendary good looks of the titular figure and the fact that Dorian was one of the most handsome—if a bit rotund—cats the staff had ever seen.

Aquarium
"Thomas, it's time to wake u-" Thomas jumped out of bed fully dressed. His mother, Denise, jumped, a little startled by his sudden movement. Then with her hand on her chest, she took a breath and smiled. Thomas was wearing his jeans and his favorite "Sharkadile Joe" T-Shirt. That was his favorite TV show, it was about the magical marine biologist who was saving the environment by talking to animals and learning about the challenges they faced.
