Born of a feather, given from an angel's wing, the Crow was once white as falling snow. In flight, he appeared an angel soaring through the heavens, but he wanted more. One day, while admiring himself shimmer in the Sun's light, the Crow had an idea. If he possessed the Sun, he would appear a God, and this pleased him greatly. The Crow flew high above the clouds, to where the Sun rested, spreading his wings widely, he embraced the fiery sphere. But, with the Sun wrapped in his wings, he could not fly. For seven days, the Crow held the Sun tightly, until, on the eighth day, now burnt black as coal, he let go. This is how the Crow would remain for the rest of days, as punishment for vanity and greed. A shadow of the angelic creature he once had been.
